Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1462Feb 24, 2013 3:50 pm Anyone heard anything on when stage 2 will get NBN? I put in our street on the website and it says in the next three years but there is a marker on the map to suggest it's currently being rolled out. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1467Feb 24, 2013 5:21 pm Yeah not sure why that is. Unless they know the door frame is going in there, is it?? Going to meet my brothers at ours very soon, pretty sure ours are done, will check. Do you know they have completely finished not coming back to tidy up or anything? Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1469Feb 24, 2013 6:52 pm Hmmm ?? There wont be any doors or anything going into those spaces ? Im not actually sure if theyve finished ... lol ... I dont get why they would leave it ... theyve actually also left the end of the nib walls in our ensuite un rendered ?? All very confusing to me tho im sure they have their reasons Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1470Feb 25, 2013 12:25 pm Went around to our place on the weekendand we ahd a tradie on site. Was nice to meet you Chevnut! Mel they dont plaster those undersides because the plaster is too thick and heavy it will just crack and chip off easy, they only use white set on it as thats much lighter and still gives you the same finish got a few photos of my place wont put them on this thread as it will clog it up but they're on my build thread if anyone wants to have a squizz Oct 10 - Council Approval Oct 23 - Site scrape Oct 29 - Footings and Prelay OCT 30 - Slabbed Nov 6 - Bricks Delivered Nov 13 - Brickwork started Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1472Feb 25, 2013 10:40 pm Seems we finally came across issues with our build. Seems our floor tiles have been discontinued so have to pick new ones now. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1475Feb 26, 2013 10:53 am Thanks RR, That sucks Dargon, is it going to delay much? Bleh I have heard no mention of the NBN in stage 3b, might call NBN today to get an answer. As far as I was aware earlier stage 1 & 2 were in the rollout along with the lots in 3b? Was told that they are still waiting for the work order to come through and not sure when once that is in work will commence. I asked about previous stages 1 and 2 and she said they had all begun. Looks like may be a bit of a wait when we've all moved in til we have internet access? Don't think it should delay us very much. Though we are limited in choice for tiles as a result to stuff that is actually in stock. Otherwise it would have been a 12 week wait for them to be supplied at least Really hope that 3b is in the NBN role out at least. Wouldn't make much sense for them to install it only in 1 and 2 only while out this area considering 3b has got titles. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1478Feb 26, 2013 1:02 pm What I don't get is when you are at prestart and you choose a certain item why they leave it so late to find it has been discontinued? They should put the order in then and there to make things fair, or at least supply adequate compensation in terms of tile selection (allowed to go over budget a little etc) We had the same thing with our door being discontinued and it wasn't cool because we paid an arm and a leg for door handles that looked perfect on our first choice, Oct 10 - Council Approval Oct 23 - Site scrape Oct 29 - Footings and Prelay OCT 30 - Slabbed Nov 6 - Bricks Delivered Nov 13 - Brickwork started Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1479Feb 26, 2013 1:20 pm Yeh its a rather annoying system. Particularly if you make other selections based on that particular bit that is now not available. Can be a struggle to make everything still fit how you wanted it to Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 1480Feb 26, 2013 1:21 pm I can imagine with tiling that would be really difficult because it is such a big feature of the home Oct 10 - Council Approval Oct 23 - Site scrape Oct 29 - Footings and Prelay OCT 30 - Slabbed Nov 6 - Bricks Delivered Nov 13 - Brickwork started Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond.
