our issue was lack of waterproofing in the kids shower.... had to be fully rebuilt.

the other issue we have is the grout isn't colour fast, and they keep getting some water-born epoxy sh1t applied, that lasts for 2-3 weeks before it comes off again. They said they'd fix it by regrouting with epoxy, but not so.... Oh, and the high quality silicon that was used has gone mouldy, which is apparently only covered for 3 months after handover.... lol - it's been replaced 3 times now, and keeps going mouldy, because they use the $15/tube rather than $50/tube product

I just need to find the energy to chase it up again....

We won’t be chasing anything up again! Will fix ourselves if problems occur again. Will be quicker!

Our "one week" shower rebuild is now entering week 5. And this is for a leak I reported in the first week of January.

Week one they removed the screen and fixtures.
Week two they demolished the shower and installed new walls/flooring.
Week three they tiled.
Week four they grouted. And then I discovered a floor tile with a very sharp corner sticking out.
Week five, painter is here patching up the holes created when inspecting the leak and ripping out the shower. Plumber has inspected the errant tile and agreed it needs to be redone :cry:

I'm so over it. I'm lucky my boss is understanding because I've barely made it into the office the last few weeks.

On the upside, I was a bit cheeky and asked the painter to repair a spot on our laundry wall while he was doing the other fixes.

It never ends.
Aircon started leaking in through the ceiling last Feb. Metricon sent out Pact who looked and said cant see anything, and left. Come December and we start using the aircon again, which of course pours more water in through the ceiling. Pact have gone out of business so new person sent. They think they've identified the problem but suggest getting Seeley in to service it. I passed on the info, service completed. Still leaking. So the manager comes back for a look, they agree that the issue is what the previous person suggested, but then of course we get the Christmas shutdown and its going to take weeks for the part to arrive. Finally scheduled in this Feb for the parts to be installed, only for them to be reallocated to someone else the day prior. During a week of 30+ temps, so that was fun. But finally installed and no more leaks.

We've also got problems with the gutter on the front of the house draining away from the downpipe but M wont touch it as apparently it took "too long for us to report it". It only came to attention because the water pouring down the side of the house has finally left a significant stain. Our downpipes have all corroded in the joins and apparently that is just lack of maintenance on our part :roll:
