Who else is building with Eden Brae?

In my opinion a little too noisy.. I have Griffin Air coming out on Thursday to check it out and they will let me know if there is a problem or not. I'll post results here.

That's what I am hoping sohnaeo... How long did you have to wait for your plans to be drawn up? We went to visit our neighbours and paid for our half of the fence yesterday and there are 2 other EB homes going up in my estate... The sales agent told us last weekend and they bought the land before us, but they haven't started yet... I am wondering what their hold up is.

They should send you the amended plans/drawings asap, once you receive them , make sure you check each and every bit because your house will build on these final paperwork.If you dont find any issues and sign them off, your site should be pegged within one week.If you find issues in final paper work you need to chase them up to fix these asap.In my case they had to amend 3-4 times.

guys, how long did it take to get the updated payment schedules after signing off the last PCV? I have only one week left from the admin deadline and I haven't got the ACC (since it's waiting for the updated payment schedule) and 2 more PCVs are still with the estimators. Really stressed out atm. ;(
Looking at the T&C, EB can raise the price if I miss the deadline. Pls advise.

We didn't get an updated payment schedule to get the ACC from the bank. The bank used the one given at our contract signing. They valued our build based upon that. Of which it equaled what we had spent at that time, any more than that and we would have encountered problems. All the upgrades we have added will have to come fomm our savings.

Sohnaeo, your house is coming along very nicely. Congratulations! It must be extremely exciting for you.

We had our color selections on Monday at HOG. It all went well, cost a few $$ for some upgrades but overall we are pretty happy.

There were a few areas of concern for us though. The hubby and I signed our contract on 5th October and were advised we would hear from our CSO by the end of the following week. Its now been 3 weeks and we have not heard a thing. We are aware that it is Kasey as the ladies at HOG so kindly informed us ::sad::

After our kitchen appointment on Monday we have a few questions and not sure what to do as we have until Friday to sign off on the quote. Our main concern is that we were informed at the very beginning of this process by the Sales Rep at the display home that the overhead cabinets in the kitchen were standard, only to find out on Monday that there are no overhead cabinets included in the Lifestyles range and that we would have to pay $1408! to have them included. Needless to say, were were shocked and not very impressed. Today, I tried calling Kasey only to go through to message bank. I left a message but have not yet heard back from her.

What should I do? How is the best way to tackle this situation? If anyone could give me a little guidance, I would be most appreciative ::smile::

I would also phone your sales consultant... If they said it, then maybe they can also vouch for that.

Kimmid- just looked at the standard drysdale 25 house plan and they don't show overhead cupboards. Check your plans though, they will appear as dotted lines over the other cupboards if they were included. All I can say if the sales rep says they were included and sticks with that, then maybe you have a case, but for all the houses that are in the display home guide, it lists the overhead cupboards as an optional.

It's finally happening!! After 10 long months of frustrating admin delays they have finally received all the necessaey paperwork and my account shows that wonderful phrase "administration complete".

We are in the 20 day countdown - now all I need is a site supervisor and we can get this show on the road.

So Dearheart, can you please outline those final steps? We have given ACC, signed off all pcvs, signed the da check letter, I know the council has already approved this... How long fom his stage to site start appointment and how many more steps to go through?

Hi 1sttime, I don't but I will probably start a web page when I get a chance. As well as dealing with the house, I am in the processs of reapplying for my job - its just a stressful time and I don't have much free time.

I will do my best to help you. I was a little out of order - my ACC was actually my last step.

After I signed the DA check it took 3 weeks to get that back and then the final plans and PCVs were sent to me to check. My fianl appintment was a few days later - they could fix some mistakes but the mistakes on the plans had to be fixed by the architects in Sydney - that took another week. After that final appointment they had to get the plans changed, do the peg out and get the ACC. That was 3 weeks ago.

Hopefully yours will be a little quicker. I will be impatiently waiting with you.

Brickies are on my site straight after frames but next week they will be away as scaffolding has to be installed. They may come to your place on Monday

Home from paradise!
Got home late last night. Exciting to see all the 'movement' on some of your houses. Helps me to get excited about mine starting in January.

I need to get onto the tree issue now I am home so the DA can get approved. Whilst I was away, I received a PCV telling me that due to the amount of noggins I was requesting, they have decided just to put an extra timber beam in every wall of the house LOL (easier for them than trying to work out which ones needed noggins!)
I also need to decide if I want to decrease that bathroom opening on the second floor. EBH will do it for free for me - 1000mm or 820mm opening?? Hmmmm, what to do?!
