Not sure why, since we have no titles, no final plans, no council approval. Theres also one on the street in front of next doors block, both are empty. Tis weird, since our stage is done, and the rest of the estate looks nearly done too, but I gotta say , it was nice to see SOMETHING other than the bare, nothings happened in months block! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 146Dec 13, 2010 9:06 pm Very odd! It is nice to have something tho. I noticed we have a tap now & I foun that very exciting I even took a photo haha Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 147Dec 16, 2010 5:47 pm Well, the developer knows nothing about the skip, and I'm pretty sure its not the builder but anyway. We got a "blah blah excuse, blah blah excuse" letter from peet today, saying titles should be ready by jan/feb So **, but theres nothing I can do my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 148Dec 16, 2010 6:01 pm I wouldnt worry too much about that skip, probably placed there by PEET for them to clear some rubbish? Anyways hang in there, i know what you must be feeling just waiting for titles....seemed like ages ago for us when we were waiting for ours....then everything in between sort of went by in a flash and now we're moving in soon already. 12 March 2010 - Land titles received 3 April 2010 - Signed building contract 14 April 2010 - Prestart 28 April 2010 - Loan approved 30 June 2010 - Slab completed 27 August 2010 - Brickwork completed 22 September 2010 - Roofing completed 30 September 2010 - Internal walls plastered 12 October 2010 - Lock Up 19 November 2010 - PCI 26 November 2010 - Handover 29 December 2010 - Moved In https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32584 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 149Dec 16, 2010 6:41 pm Ah developers, gotta love them, they really have no idea. I've heard of developers promising titles would be ready when they hadn't even lodged the survey to create the lots with Landgate. Um, hello, with no approved survey, no titles! You could try and find out what stage the survey is at, there's a few steps to go through before the developer applies for the new titles to be created. If it helps any, the creation of the new titles is probably the quickest part of the process, it's just getting to the part where the land is ready to be titled that's the painful part. Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 150Dec 16, 2010 7:59 pm See, thats the frustrating bit, the blocks have been ready for months! The streets all done, signs up, blocks pegged since..*going back to check thread* Mid september! If I knew how to find out what stage they were at I would, but I don't.. my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 151Dec 17, 2010 11:55 am what a right pain in the ***....Satterley released ours early and put switch in a complete flat spin especially when council also approved our plans in 3 weeks fingers crossed they get their act together, i'm hanging to follow your build - as i'm sure you are Follow Feggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=34992 Follow lilfeggle viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37149 Asbestosis Sux! Don't breath in Asbestos Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 152Dec 28, 2010 5:54 pm tinkster, where are you building?. We're going to be building in Glenariff in Canning Vale. Same issue with titles, deposit down in March, developer (Taggart) telling us "it will be next month" since August. Getting pretty fed up with it to tell the truth but I guess there's nothing you can do. I spoke to Landgate and they can't really help with info as we're not really the owners o a plot of land that doesn't really exist yet. Shame we can't get interest paid on the deposit. Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 153Dec 28, 2010 11:15 pm althom- we're in southern river, just off holmes st. I think for us, the frustrating part is that there is nothing we can do, if we want out of the contract (which we could easily do) we're going to end up paying MORE for a similar sized block, and would likely face similar delays anywhere else anyway! Such a pita! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 154Jan 16, 2011 10:25 am OK, its been 2 weeks. The skip grew to massive proportions- http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/tfal/photo-1.jpg I sent an email to the developer telling her it had to go, and it was removed later the same week. Unfortunately, seems some people missed that and this is how the block looks atm- http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/tfal/MailAttachment.jpg Pisses me off big time! Developer is aware and is trying to get rid of it. I've told them it needs to be clear at settlement, from which point we'll become responsible for it. As far as titles go- this is peets latest Quote: On titles I believe we are only now waiting for the street trees to go in them we will get our final clearances. Once this happens we then need approx 10 working days for issue of titles through Landgate and we are on our way. But really, I don't believe them at all. She sent through another extension to the contract, without dates, just says finance approval within 14 days of titles issues, and settlement 3 weeks later. I'm getting really disheartened by the waiting. If they'd delivered titles when they were supposed to (sept) I could have half a house by now. Plus, knowing I'm getting a new house just means this one is annoying me more and more, I have NO storage space here!! As for the house- I emailed through some more changes yesterday, but T isn't back til tomorrow, so suspect it'll take some time while she wades through her inbox. On the upside, DH decided I could have the overheads in the both the scullery and the laundry!! He said if we don't do it at construction it may never get done, and he'd rather just get it done Very cool! Anyway, thats about all. I'm going to get some quotes for ducted vac, air con and floor coverings this week, will help with finance apparently. my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 155Jan 16, 2011 10:52 am Why hell are people dumping stuff at your block even with no skip bin. That's horrible I'd be annoyed too.
Gosh what do streets need trees before titles? Our streets don't get trees til houses are developed. Hope they stop making excuses soon ETA: How cool do clouds look in that 1st photo! Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 156Jan 16, 2011 11:07 am That's pretty low Tinkster, using your block as a dump. Our developer put in Application for Titles on 22/12 - spoke to Landgate on 14/01 - 14 working days after application submitted and was told they might get to look at it next week - so much for 5-10 days post application for issue! Why on earth would a street tree, to be planted by the council I assume, hold up titles??? he mind boggles at some of the rubbish these developers come out with. Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 157Jan 16, 2011 12:08 pm I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the street tree crap was just that- crap! Althom- you're in glenariff aren't you? I'm not surprised its taking a little longer given you had xmas and new years in there, but hopefully it won't take too much longer my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- there's a skip on my block! 160Jan 17, 2011 8:14 pm its pretty low, I can sorta understand the abandoned skip on the middle of an empty estate attracting rubbish, but just to dump it on the block is **** In other news- the builder rang today asking why the water corp says the block is owned by someone else "well, thats cos we don't have titles" "well can you call the settlement agent and have them forwarded to us?" "no, the titles have not been issued yet" silence... Its good, cos they are moving forward with things, but bad cos they can't! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 About a year ago, I embarked on a DIY project to construct an outdoor Pergola, which measures approximately 5.2 meters by 4.0… 0 30221 Actually kind of agreed with the first comment.
