One year since construction commenced.
Still no bloody idea when it will be finished.
I totally understand! Hopefully the pain ends soon

Still no bloody idea when it will be finished. I totally understand! Hopefully the pain ends soon Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13462Feb 22, 2017 3:14 pm beeprelude So its finally happened. We have a fence, and now we have signs. Next stop portaloo and then the world!! hahahahhaha Next tuesday marks two years since we paid our deposit, so to say its a long time coming is an understatement. but... Woo hoo, things are progressing!!! Beeprelude, I thought our build was the longest. It finished in 3 years from the day we first engaged M or 2 years and 3 months from the deposit. I am impressed with your patience! It's been a long long process. We sold our home 1.5 years ago and have been living with my parents since then. Lucky for us, our house is being built next to theirs on their acreage so we can at least keep an eye on things. I'm surprised at my patience levels lol I'm usually not so patient! http://preludehome.tumblr.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13464Feb 22, 2017 5:21 pm Shire_Synergy Fisher75 Just checked our tender: Provide the '2014 Mansion Luxury Upgrade Package' to your double storey home which has the following extensive luxury upgrades for just $5,990 and includes: ... Contour Perimeter Framed Shower Screen with Frameless Pivot Door in 6mm Clear Toughened Glass to the ensuite only. It looks like we are not getting it. Sandra, Shire_Synergy, what does it say in yours? We paid $2914 to have manhattan frameless shower screens in main and ensuite. We are the same as you Shire_synergy. Some joy today .... i was told (by M) there shouldn't be a hob & asked to send pics. For all of you looking forward to seeing the back of M .... almost 2 years since keys & i had tradies out last week, 2 more due out next week (all at M's expense)! So still dealing with M. The good news is .... it doesn't stress me at all anymore & the delay is partly my fault for not getting around to reporting/chasing issues. Have just decided to tackle all remaining things now ... hence the current flood of visitors. That being said .... all of the problems being looked at/fixed are recurring issues (where more than one fix has been necessary to get it right). Fortunately i work a 4 day week so line up tradies for my day off, so I am never too inconvenienced. Am still hopeful that by the 2 year "moving in" anniversary (may i think?) .... all will be done. 2013 1st tender 24/10 Dep. 18/11 2014 5% 25/02 CDC approval 5/5 Demo 26/5 Pool 3/7 Valid'n 10/7 Slab 11/8 Frame 19/9 Bricks 23/10 2015 Roof 3/12 Lock up 11/2 PCI 31/3 Final insp. & keys 30/4 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13465Feb 23, 2017 10:35 am One year on after keys. I thought this was a bit strange. Also strange that the insurance expires next month! Definitely not they are supposed to go through it with you and warranty should finish when your house is completed. These are the docs that my building inspector said they have to provide on settlement day. Yes were still waiting for some. Also i advise you to also get a insulation cert as you can see the great job m tradies can do as per insulation picture. I thought this was a bit strange. Also strange that the insurance expires next month! Definitely not they are supposed to go through it with you and warranty should finish when your house is completed. I thought that would be the proper way to do things. On the one hand I just want to get it over and done with and they said I can't change any terms of the contract anyway. On the other hand, a lot of things look a bit sus: 365 working day build time, no BASIX form but a stamp to sign, plans with hand written notes rather final version. Problem is that the house design is perfect for our land size, which makes it hard to back out. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13472Feb 24, 2017 3:50 pm WOW - 365 working days, are you kidding me? That's almost a 2 year build, once you add rain days/public holidays & Xmas shutdown for a month (which will probably happen twice, depending on when you start the build!) When we built our villina 2 years ago it was 200 working days - surely the shortage of tradies isn't that bad? That's an awful lot of rent to be paying while you are waiting ....... 2013 1st tender 24/10 Dep. 18/11 2014 5% 25/02 CDC approval 5/5 Demo 26/5 Pool 3/7 Valid'n 10/7 Slab 11/8 Frame 19/9 Bricks 23/10 2015 Roof 3/12 Lock up 11/2 PCI 31/3 Final insp. & keys 30/4 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13473Feb 24, 2017 3:54 pm Villinaeliters WOW - 365 working days, are you kidding me? Yes our build was 169 working days and that was forever considering it doesnt start till they break soil . I almost missed the clause with the Building Period because it wasn't in the HIA booklet but in a separate "Particulars of the contract" list. I will look into getting legal advice. Yes, I'll be on this forum until 2020! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13476Feb 24, 2017 4:53 pm ms_jd Villinaeliters WOW - 365 working days, are you kidding me? Yes, I'll be on this forum until 2020! They more than likely made an error on the calculations with days. They quoted me 7-10months. But had written down 322 working days which equalled 16 months. Had to make them change to 230 days (still not happy about it but they won't bludge any more). They had calculated as 7 days instead of 5 days working week. I reckon the f*** up on urs like this too. Make them fix it. I did. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13477Feb 24, 2017 5:04 pm kly525 ms_jd Villinaeliters WOW - 365 working days, are you kidding me? Make sure to double check all their costings! 4 23437 Hi all Just starting the journey with Masterton and building the Aston Exclusive. Will share the journey in case it's helpful to others.
