We have raised all pcvs, just waiting on EB to send us their filing as a variation for the flooring ... The bank should give ACC tomorrow. We have already received our DA but I am under the impression that we need to resubmit to council for a construction certificate, is that correct? We will have our final appointment with EB next week, if the bank delivers!!! Lol Built a Hawthorne 31 with EB nessjeffdreamhouse.blogspot.com.au Building an investment now with New Living homes... CC is when you submit the detailed plans to the council. If private certifier is approving the CC plans then it would be quicker. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1329Oct 17, 2012 5:28 am Sorry I don't belong in this thread, but thought I would add some info. When the DA is issued by the council it gives you permission to build what you want, but does not give you permission to commence construction. As the council is the one that processes the DA, the construction certificate CC is quite quick to approve as long as your building company gives the Home Owners Insurance and any engineers drawings that are require. I am not sure what your contract says, but 20 days usually starts from when the CC is issued not from when the ACC is received from the bank. A building company will not start without the ACC. My council is with Blacktown and on their website I can track the progress of all of the council related paperworks. You may wanna check your council's website. 1sttimebuilding2012, I'm currently on the stage of waiting for the administration to be completed before the start of the construction. Don't panic , I was on same boat. I wrote letter to OSR with valid reasons and attached all the payment receipts which I paid to EB, they took only 2 days to extend 6 months to 1 year, they just want to make sure people are making serious efforts to start construction. 1sttimebuilding2012 CC is not big deal, it takes only 1 day to approve.EB uses the Independent Certifier instead of Council so it is pretty straightforward. Once you sign off all the final variations/drawings/colour seecltion sheet, they must be on site within 20 days. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1332Oct 17, 2012 8:58 am OK.. Actron tell me the SRA190 is an older model, and Griffin tell me it's a typo in my contract. My contract says I should get a 16.4kw, and according to Griffin the SRA173 is a 16.4kw (spec sheet says it's slightly higher). Sounds like everything is correct Now I'm just waiting on a return call from Griffin about the excessive noise this unit puts out. BTW out of all my dealings with tradies/suppliers throughout the entire build, the Griffin installers gave me the best experience. Very polite and professional and they went above and beyond to get the unit installed in one visit after we had a missing controller. The air conditioning is super confusing, I don't know why we don't get an appointment to clarify it! Peace97, how big is your house? I think the standard will be fine, we just went with the standard... The digital has a few more bangs and whistles if you can justify the expense. I am so glad jen1977 clarified the process, I think we will be okay... Just got one more Pcv - the carpet, and thats it!! I will let you know when we have our final appointment before construction commences! Hoping mid November! Going to pop around shortly have a sneak peak Hi Rabsta, great blog Got a quick question, Do you know why some of the timbers used on your frame are not colored? I thought EB are using treated timber for everything and they are usually either blue or green. Cheers. Hi peace97...im not sure...but a very good reminder for me. I'm seeing my SS tomorrow so i'll be asking the very same question I don't think its a huge deal, but something i'll ask _________________ Building with EBH - Saville 30 @ The Ponds Building Blog - http://rabsndee.blogspot.com 22/08 - Slab Done 07/09 - Frames 16/09 - Roof 02/10 - Bricks 26/10 - Lockup 17/01 - Settlement Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1340Oct 17, 2012 9:51 pm Taps-Saville25 peace97 1sttimebuilding2012 You have to apply for an extension, your CSO will be able to help you with it - peace97 Thanks, will ask that tomorrow.
