These are in the new Homeworld 4 that's being built on Windsor road. Just past Memorial avenue heading towards Old Windsor road. They have 2 open and another 2 still in construction. It's a really nice layout and has a lot of the "new" designer looking aspects like alfresco doors that open around a corner in the living to bring the outside in, if u know what I mean, has a separate guest toilet and gorgeous bathroom layout with freestanding bath. Not sur what the other 2 that are still being built are.. Oops, got mixed up with my 4's and 5's! There are a few builders open now, we also checked out Allworth, Rawson and Provincial I think.. Our blog: http://durhamsadventure.blogspot.com Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1287Oct 02, 2011 5:00 pm Not a problem Natandash, it's hard to keep count of these things Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1288Oct 02, 2011 6:24 pm Hi All... wish this rain would bugger off, so we can do our landscaping or our driveway, they have tried 3 times now....arraaghhh! but otherwise we are almost all unpacked inside now....will takes some updated pics. Have to say I was very disappointed in BW new displays at Kellyville, we had a look today, they were horrible very poor colour selections....I know if I was building again and was looking and saw that I certainly wouldnt choose them. Nat there is no merlot there, they are all new designs, The Lindeman, The Benderra they are named after islands....and a lot more $$$ then the genesis series, I think the base price is $180k+ site+ basix etc. We also looked at the others opened and we liked Provinial Homes...styled and decorated very nicely and lovely landscaping.... Oh well!!! I liked the layout of the second house but I agree with u in regards to the colours they use etc. I mainly got ideas on how they set up their rooms, where they put artworks etc. Our blog: http://durhamsadventure.blogspot.com Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1290Oct 03, 2011 9:16 am ended up going by sunday morning and was also very disappointed. This wass BW chance to have 'modern' designs but I found everything was very poor choice. the kitchens were terrible, the best thing was prob the built in entertainment unisi didnt think they looked like a merlot. Not much resemblence to our house at all. Acre1- House looks lovely. Everything matches perfectly. Being in one of the prettiest areas in the Hunter Valley ain't bad either. We are just waiting for this weather to dry up so we can have some dirt delievered on our land. Must say, they were very underwhelming. Was hoping to get some ideas for furniture and homewares but colour choices were yuck. None of the new designs really appealed either. I saw those blocks when I was looking for land. They are beautiful. Sarbear-Thanks for replying. I found the last time I went to Thornton the Allworth Homes were pretty average and the Coral Homes were to die for. Amazing how the interior decor in a display home makes or breaks someone's decision on building. It does with me. So im hoping you can help me since your all experienced! This will be my first home, sorta lost with how to start.. but any hoo! we will be looking at building the asquith! we spoke to oran park consultants they were so nice.. compared to the rest of the building companies.. so we have chose to go with them! Can you give me point by point in order of what to watch out for and what to do ? We need to do this the quickest way possible due to my parent retiring, and there will be no money for renting haha I have been told to chose and make all changes and everything we want first and not to change later cause it stops the process. What do i need to prepare before i get a tender ? then after the tender what comes next ? how long toughly does each step take and what do i need to prepare for each step to go quicker ? Thanks in advance. SaLsA xx Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1297Oct 04, 2011 7:27 pm Hi salsa, welcome. I dont have much time to reply, but i just wanted to let you know i have read your reply and to also allow about 18 months. The contract date may be only 23 weeks, but you dont sign the contract until after your house is out of council, and still after that it took us a few months to start. Take xmas into consideration. they may be shut for only 2 weeks, but there skeleton staff for about 4-6 weeks. The guy we needed to talk to was away for 6 weeks, so nothing happened for 6 weeks at xmas time. MR - Paterson is a gorgeous - we are a few k's from paterson, but still a gorgeous place. I'm with Acre depending on where you build. Fingers crossed ours will be bang on a year from land settlement to completion. I have had friends build in approx 4 months but BW won't lodge to council until you own the land. Probably best to do all changes up front as they do have to amend plans and issue variations which can take a while. Anyway, welcome and good luck! Second Build @ The Ponds Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1299Oct 05, 2011 3:16 pm Just a short note today, our tiler finished our floors yesty and there gorgeous, i spent today cleaning and cleaning and more cleaning of them, there was a residue film on them, that will take a few cleans to get them cleaned. Also we picked up our stove and rangehood, and whilst we were there, the splashback guy called round to measure up, he advised that the splashback was going up behind the rangehood, - so really happy about that. Thats all that needs to be done which wont be another week, just got a call from the bank saying our cheque is ready, so we will be settling friday, Our carpet is laid tomorrow, and electrician starts tomorrow also. Thank you all for sharing your experiences, has been eye opening and is great to share in the excitement. We have been looking at a block that has a 4m fall on it (impossible to get a flat block in the area we are looking in at the moment) and we were hoping to build the Genesis Merlot with terrazza but split the house along the garage and master to step up into the living/kitchen/theatre. I think the block might be too slopy to take this design which is disappointing because I love it!! Just have a quick question for JacknRuby (your house looks sensational by the way), do you mind sharing the cost of adding the extra 20sqm to the house? We would be looking at moving the laundry as well to a similar position as you but the other side of the bathroom which would take the extra space through the family room and terrazza. Hhmm, another quick question for you, how wide is your laundry and what size does bedroom 3 end up being when you moved the laundry? (loved your revised floorplan) Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11862 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21675 |
