This is from my quote, I’m waiting for Anna’s replacement to reply about this. I don’t get the figures at all.

The benchtop is about 2.3m. We just signed the quote which says 2sqm has been factored in, but DL just changed consultant, I am not sure if the previous consultant had passed on the info that we wanted extra splashback included. So 0.6x2.3=1.38sqm They may have done the wall next to sink too if the sink is in the corner of bench Thanks MandM+4 Yes, I requested side of wall near sink as well. My calculation was 1.74 sqm, but don’t DL charge more for wastage allowance? 15 or 20% which would exceed 2sqm... Hmm I thought wastage was 10% but 20% wouldn’t surprise me The standard tiling in laundry is only one tile high (20mm?) and around sink only so they have definitely quoted you for extra. The tiling layouts will be in your final construction plans too. So a standard wall tile is $50 per sqm to lay outside of included areas. Did they charge you for additional grout and tile adhesive etc too? I can’t search far enough back in my email on phone to see what we were charged specifically for laying Edited: sorry ignore this just re read it’s your laundry quote Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12764Sep 30, 2018 10:28 pm MandM+4 becks81 One On the subject of tiling, can anyone tell me the area of tiling the splashback in the laundry between the benchtop to the underside of the overhead cabinets? If we select signature and we want non included tiles then we would only save a few grand max.. if we save 1k wall then it’s worth it. If it’s just 35 credit per sqm then not worth it. Seems that’s a hard question to answer. Even for Wisdom Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12766Oct 01, 2018 12:24 am stevezau So i am still confused. If the full height tiling saves us 5k then it makes sense to go signature as we get added value. If it’s only 2k saving then not really worth it. hence why I’m trying to figure it out. The WC in the master ensuite is also included now in the full height. It’s very difficult to reconcile. How many walls? And how much do you save across your flooring? Just as an indication we are on the signature package and variations for full height tiling for the 2 separate toilets, which aren't included was. $1383 for the ensuite and $1247 for the Main bathroom. This is for tiles at $35m2. I would suggest to upgrade all the bathrooms would be well above 5k Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12770Oct 01, 2018 11:48 am becks81 MIM11 Hi, Has anyone included the Aircon Liner Grills in their build. At our appointment we added some in the bulk heads in the kitchen/ living. Now the Aircon representative suggest we go for the Grill Strip as the Liner Grill causes condensation and is noisy! Weird wasn’t mentioned in our meeting but now at the last min. Any advice? MIM11 our package includes Linear Grills. Is this a further upgrade to go with the Grill strip? They weren’t mentioned to us at all, what stage of the process did the rep tell you to change @becks81what package was that? Must be new?? Because it’s not park of our package the liner or strip grill are an upgrade. I think they are both the same price. It was after our colours appointment with him and we signed off. My husband asked him a question about the strength of the vent. Than he threw that curve ball and said we recomend you use the strip grill due to condensation and noise. I don’t understand why he didn’t mention this in the meeting, why now! My husband gone back to him for more info and it’s been over a week and he hasn’t replied to his email. They are very slow at responding you have to chase them. We don’t understand why, as they use them in display homes. I don’t want to change them however his put the fear in us now. Once get more info I will let you know. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12771Oct 01, 2018 1:27 pm MIM11 becks81 MIM11 Hi, Has anyone included the Aircon Liner Grills in their build. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12772Oct 01, 2018 1:35 pm stevezau Also, when i asked Di Lorenzo, they told me the $35/sqm for for the tile and labour. So am confused.. Hi Steve Not sure if this helps however even if you go signature you are paying for the Labour if you upgrade your tiles. Example we chose a 600x600 floor tile at $13 extra per tile. Therefor going cost us extra few thousand, doable. However we were charged $7000 laying fee. Not happy this wasn’t told at tile selection. We even selected a standard tile within our allowance for our power room wall tile. However because it was different shape again there was a laying fee. You have to see if what other extras in signature are worth it or save the $25k for your tiling. Going signatirenis good for the high ceilings and full tile bathrooms but the rest is fact bowls and taps. When you get to colours everything is extra. We building Majestic 40 If these prices help. I was advised that everyone (including us) who ordered the Bar Strip 2.4m is being converted to 2x Grill strip 1.2m due to condensation issues.(unseen in display homes) Better outcome but I'm not sure if the 2.4m bar strip is equivalent to 2x 1.2m Grill Strips? We ended up spliting them. Not confident that it will achieve the same/similar visual effect. It's more materials, more labour. Yet builders charge extra for a cleaner (and less work look) Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12777Oct 01, 2018 9:01 pm I feel the same. I feel like if it’s popular or on fashion trend they charge more! I want a white colour wardrobe slidder, however wisdoms only offer an aqua white. If I want the white white is more. Why when if I ring any other wardrobe installer it’s just a colour. To lay lather tiles it cost $7000! Why it should be less tiles to lay right lol. My favorite is the one colour for walls, doors and arcs. Doors use a different paint from wall paint so why charge more because I want different colour. You need get different paint anyway and it’s just adding a tint? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12778Oct 01, 2018 9:08 pm Manhattan52 @GLO I will be so annoyed if that’s the case.
