There was also a pretty decent chip taken out of one of the drawer fronts in the kitchen, so looks like they will have to replace that whole set of drawer fronts so the woodgrain matches. Am I right in thinking that these are the kinds of things that slow everything down right about now? It may but it shouldn't hold things up too much as they can still do other things while they wait for the correct things to come in. Delays are going to happen if you have to completely stop what's going on & wait for a correct item to be fitted. (We had to have our bathtub replaced for example and I don't think it caused any delays since they had it in stock and could swap it straight away - the ease of putting it in is a different story ) You should've seen my face when I got to the red tile picture - AWESOME!! Huge kudos to you for taking a chance with your colour selections! Looks fantastic! You must be so excited!! I love all your colour choices. The yellow cupboards in the kitchen look so good. And, the red tiles, love them. You must be so happy to see all your choices at gallery coming together so well. Your build is 20 days ahead of ours, it's hard to imagine we'll be at your stage soon. Exciting! viewtopic.php?uid=71435&f=31&t=82862&start=40 Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Springwood SA 126Jul 24, 2016 10:25 pm Megera It may but it shouldn't hold things up too much as they can still do other things while they wait for the correct things to come in. I'll wait to hear back from the SS - hopefully you are right and things won't get held up too much then. And thanks on the red - I'm really glad I did that now! Same with the yellow in the kitchen. The next big pop of colour will be when they paint my front door bright red on both sides. 2016 is going to be AWESOME! Building with Simonds in S.A The sink I originally chose was the Gem vanity - it was an upgrade, but I totally had my heart set on it after seeing it in the gallery. Turns out that because it has no overflow it wasn't allowed. It really surprises me that they didn't know that it doesn't meet regulations... Which vanity did you pick? 2016 is going to be AWESOME! Building with Simonds in S.A Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Springwood SA 134Aug 27, 2016 4:16 pm Risachan Hi Valerie, 4th March is only a few weeks away! Exciting! The major changes I did were: - raised ceiling in entry and main living area - upgraded to 6 slider door in main living area, 3 door slider to rear family room - butler's pantry - rear of house upgrade, with laundry and bathroom flipped - extended bedrooms 3 and 4 another 600 at the back - added alfresco at rear - ensuite and bathroom upgrades to have bench the whole length across, but only with one basin - sliding doors to B1, ensuite, and between B3/4 When it came to gallery, I did a fair few extra things: - caesarstone benchtops in kitchen and BP, with one waterfall end to island - caesarstone benchtops to ensuite and bathroom - niches in both showers - half wall height tiling to ensuite, 2000 height to bathroom, half height to laundry - upgraded basins in bathrooms - that really massive front door handle that all the displays seem to have - downlights - additional cabinetry in laundry, kitchen I came in under my budget, so that was good, especially as now so many of my after handover costs have blown out a bit more than I was expecting! Retaining is sooo expensive! I'm Building Palisdae too just wondering how much was the upgrade to caeserstone benchtops? how much were the extra power points each Re: Building the Simonds Palisade in Springwood SA 135Feb 15, 2017 8:25 pm Risachan cooper229 I ' googled ' eclectic i should have said lol typo!?
