Today I took Dad to see the house and the man was there doing the cornices and WOW! Has anyone else seen how that do them?? He was wearing these stilts strapped to his legs and was walking around the house like something from Avatar! hehe It was so fascinating! Dad was intrigued and kept asking him questions He had completed about 50% of the house and had measured and cut all the other pieces ready for each room. What he has done looks brilliant! I spoke to my Customer Service Rep today and he told me that he spoke to my SS. Unfortunately there are so many houses that are meant to have handover in December that we will probably miss out My CSR was fantastic and so understanding. He agreed that with my situation of having 6 weeks holidays over Christmas and new years along with my fiance and I having been separated until the house is finished that he would speak to my SS again and see if there was any possibility that it could finish by then. I then received an email from my CSR to say that my SS has agreed to reassess the progress and development of the house ...and hopefully there may be a chance that we make it in December but they will let me know. I thought that was so understanding of them to do that! I wasn't pushed away and told "oh well bad luck" I really felt valued! All I can do is pray, hope and cross my fingers and toes that we can be in by Christmas. Oh and my kitchen cupboards should be arriving on the 21st of Oct!!! noice! Re: Our Piazza Dream Home ;) 126Oct 12, 2011 6:40 pm Those stilts look pretty funny hey! When they were doing the cornices on the outside alfresco it was sooooo windy, I was sure they were going to get blown over Fingers & toes crossed that you are in by christmas, that was nice of your CSR & SS to be so understanding Building our custom design "Dream Home" Follow my Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=46820 Contract Signed - 28/04/11 Siteworks Commenced - 20/06/11 Re: Our Piazza Dream Home ;) 128Oct 12, 2011 7:25 pm Broom Those stilts look pretty funny hey! I walked in to the kitchen to let him know what we were doing and expected to see him on a ladder!...lol I had to hold back my little chuckles when I saw him bouncing around on them hehe Thank you Broom and Kiwi. I will keep you posted I hope it all works out I found a thread on here about creating art for your home! Not bad!! viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12608 It has inspired me to perhaps create my own! That way they can fit the colour scheme I want and also make it more personal. I forgot about the first canvas I had started for our music room in our house (probably because it has been in storage for nearly a year ) I play piano and Shane plays the bass so I wanted to paint them both on there. Not finished though.
