Looks like just the alfresco and garage trusses to go on. Pics below... (pics pg5&7 123Mar 20, 2010 5:15 pm Good luck with your furniture and fittings shopping/shortlisting. We bought a Nick Sc@li sofa in late January and they called me last week to arrange for a delivery time (since the sofa is ready). I told them I couldn't accept delivery until my house was built and they said they'd hold it for me in the meantime. I know they are on sale at the moment with up to 50% off . We got a HUGE modular sofa for only $2,460 which was a great bargain! Oh and you'll find the window coverings ends up being hugely expensive (this is pretty depressing to grapple the costs involved) if your windows end up being non-standard - which was my case. Windows that had a box frame of 610mm and inner measurement of 600mm (standard size for most coverings) are now less than 600mm. This means I end up having to custom make blinds for these windows and then there's also the matter of my silly horizontal windows which are wider than 2100mm. So all ready-made blinds are thrown out of the window quite literally and I'm not too keen on curtains -- annoying dilemma and I need to sirt out my window coverings asap! We have a shopping list with an estimate of what we need to spend next to everything. Yes it sure does add up. Considering We already have everything it seems a new house needs everything all over again! But shopping if the fun part, trying not to think of all the money we will spend. But I guess what else is money for hmm? NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! The closer anything gets to it the slower things start to happen until right on site just like a black hole time slows to the point where it stops. Two weeks of nothing. Found out we are having a change of Site Supervisor which is not a surprise as it seems these building companies go through them quite quickly. Im hopeful that this doesn't result in nothing happening until we are appointed another. Feeling very disappointed especially since there was no contact to advise us of the change, it was only discovered when I called for an elusive update on our nothingness. I went past this morning and noticed there wasn't a great deal going on. We had almost 2 weeks of nothing also and then all of a sudden we had large groups of tradies on site so you never know. How long do you have in your contract for the build? Our house thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=18335 Re: Our Villa 24 @ Karinya, Point Cook - The BLACK HOLE 137Apr 06, 2010 4:24 pm GSK How long do you have in your contract for the build? 290 days. Yep, the turnover of SS is pretty high in this industry. We're absolutely grateful that our SS has been wonderful in keeping up comms with us and his scheduling of tradies for each stage has also been perfect (barring renegade tradies who can't be controlled). I'm sure you'll get a sudden flurry of activity over at your house once the new SS gets his butt onto your file and you'll be amazed how much can be done in just a matter of weeks! SO hang in there! Hopefully it won't take as long to put up as it did to arrive. Still no update received from the builder since last weeks three requests for one. When our new SS starts on the 19th they are in for a long phone call and possably a forced site visit as we are still to have one (offically)! NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! Seeks that the guttering and fascia that was delivered to our house wasn't ours! Two houses down was having it fitted this morning. So it seems not having an SS means all work stops completly. So annoying! This week marks 4 weeks of no work. I did however get ahold of the supervisors supervisor and this morning he said we 'should' have roof cover by next week. I'm not holding my breath.
