Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 1143Apr 11, 2018 10:13 pm stanus I would be up for a leaseback if it is 8% as indicated on there website. I would sacrifice a year and make upwards of 80K. I don’t think I would do it even then. As it’s so tight in this house with so many kids. But it would be tempting. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 1144Apr 11, 2018 10:14 pm Kandi Doulton777 Quirmeball1280 Looks fantastic D, really like the aggregate concrete look and the details around the house such as the tiled kickbacks for the kitchen bench Metricon Liberty 45, Ryde NSW http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=82846 Thanks Q I must admit I wasn’t sure about the tile kickback. Do we need to include this in kitchen variation and then tile variation? I’m pretty sure we added it at Beaumont. But with tiles at basin where instead of having a full blown mirror. We choose to put extra tiles there instead. I think that was $50 as well per each bathroom. If you liked that style. Not sure if we added it at Pre contract. Or at beamount. Eg: see tiles under Mirror? Usually the Mirror goes all the way down. So if you like that style then you need to let them know. Firstly how many children do you have? It took me 25 pages to find your plans and saw snippets of a big family . Holy cow that’s one monstrous house you have built I am go smacked at the size wow!! The pictures are gorgeous, that stair case and the detail in the hand railing is beautiful, I love how your tiler ran the tile up under the island bench for the kicker. You have so many bathrooms, oh my goodness, all amazing too. Looking forward to seeing you finish and moving onto the landscaping and decorating New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 1152Apr 16, 2018 5:21 pm Tribe7 I found your thread Doulton . I have 11 in total but only 9 at home. I’m probably biased but the house does look amazing. And the stairs are just beautiful. Its probably one of the reasons why we decided on that design. That and the fact that it would be extended easier. Now the kicker. I think is a much better touch specially in the kitchen. I guess it also makes it more solid. Then to add a normal kicker. Theres like 2 ensuite, guest room with ensuite/powder room. Then there’s another powder room up stairs. Plus two jack and Jill’s bathrooms. But I’m all set got my cleaning products from the melbourne home show. Hopefully is will help keep it cleaner. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Suppose to prevent dirt from building up. Mine as still young and like to change clothes 50 times a day 🤦🏼♀️. That’s incredible to have such a big family, well done . I counted the bathrooms and had a little panic the cleaning will be mammoth but your sorted with good products and sealing the grout will help so much too. You can be as biased as you like your home is beautiful and you should be very proud. I haven’t seen anyone do a tile kicker for a long time, it’s very refined. My daughter will get married soon. Just think of how nice she will be coming down the stairs in her gown. We spent a bit on our washing machine. At the new house we have installed two taps. So we can have two washing machines. You have a large family too. I remember when I had the 5. I had 5 under 6 and I was 24. I remember those days too. They used to change their clothes so much lol. It must be a faze they go through. I also had 7 girls straight the last 4 are boys. Don’t worry they will grow out of it. Which house are you building again? How big is yours bedrooms etc....? It’s hard with space for large families. I don’t see many large families who are building. It’s nice too see. How many girls and boys have you got? Can’t wait to see your build. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 1157Apr 17, 2018 12:51 am Ok guys I need you advice. With the stair part when the curved part is. Do you think it looks ok with that design? Or do you think that part would look better if it was plastered and matched in with the rest of the curve? The square set cornices created that design. The original display has it just circular. Our private inspector seems to think it adds a very nice feature and it’s different to other designs that are just circular. What do you guys think? Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 1159Apr 17, 2018 10:55 am Definitely circular with the plaster to the edge That is how it is in display. And that's how I will do mine.
