Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11321Jun 07, 2016 1:09 pm Rox82 – Welcome back home. What area are you living in while the house is being built ? MGardz – Any update on the leaking bathroom ? WKVillina – I don’t understand what part of ‘water streaming through gyprock’ that M thinks is acceptable. J+H – Same with your house. What is wrong with these trades. It seems like they are all in Sydney! I feel sick for both of you. MartinsHarmony – LMCC usually get applications done within weeks not months. Maybe something to do with the dual occupancy. Anyway all the best. Jasonm1 – Ours took 9 weeks. Has anyone upgrade any of their internal doors to the glass panel range. We want the standard lineal door for most, and then just a few feature doors (pantry, theatre, main bedroom) to have the linear with glass panel. as per picture. Anyone know the price to do this? __________________________________________ House/Land Package Purchased:02.02.15 5% House Deposit Paid:17.03.15 10% Land Deposit Paid:18.08.15 Land Registered: 04.17 Slab Poured: 15.08.17 PCI: 17.05.18 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11324Jun 07, 2016 2:07 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like this? $1200 for the set These are the ones we are getting stained https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11325Jun 07, 2016 2:40 pm MGardz Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like this? $1200 for the set These are the ones we are getting stained https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Thanks mgardz. But i think the issue is the same. We went with Comminsure ... They didn't ask to see an OC .... I think our bank needed to see the insurance policy before that would make the last payment, so we had it start just after PCI in any event! 2013 1st tender 24/10 Dep. 18/11 2014 5% 25/02 CDC approval 5/5 Demo 26/5 Pool 3/7 Valid'n 10/7 Slab 11/8 Frame 19/9 Bricks 23/10 2015 Roof 3/12 Lock up 11/2 PCI 31/3 Final insp. & keys 30/4 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11331Jun 07, 2016 6:29 pm jol0 sachapman1084 MGardz Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like this? $1200 for the set These are the ones we are getting stained https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Thanks mgardz. Our artline appointment on Friday went 8k over what I thought was an already generous budget... So now need to watch the remainder of what we spend. So will see what they say on Friday and decide whether it has to be done after handover. On a positive note we bought our gas log fireplace today:... VERY prematurely might I add. But my uncle was able to get me a FANTASTIC deal on a Rinnai 950x fireplace that we couldn't say no to... Don't forget so much be done after handover. Spend on what makes sense to do during the build and the rest on handover. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11333Jun 07, 2016 7:00 pm Thanks V you confirmed what I was thinking when SS was adamant we needed it. I'll try CommInsure when it comes around to handover. Thank you again Good luck with your colours appointment sachapman1084 would love to see your choices https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Thanks mgardz. We are very neutral with choices. Everything predominantly white (in terms of colour). With the brushed aluminium highlights throughout the kitchen. (Basically, if you walk into the villina display home at the hermitage, that's EXACTLY what we've chosen. - why fix something that's not broken right? Even our feature tiles in bathroom. Whilst we've chosen a different mosaic tile (picture attached - this style for main bathroom. Square version of it for powder and ensuite), we've tiled the same places.)... Was looking through your blog again today... Our outside colours are very similar to yours!.. Hoping to knock over colours by 2. Wanting to drive to Melbourne for the weekend... So think I've got everything sorted and organised in terms of choices... It's scary to now see how easily cost just piles up!.. Starting to freak us out a little... Especially when yeah, I thought I was already generous. Your choices seem lovely I can't wait to see it all come together. Just know exactly what you want and be strong for the budget! I remember the stress back at colours appt as it is so tempting as everything is all there in front of you so shiny and nice. Similar to when you get to our stage again as the costs of the things post handover are equally tempting. I'm trying to negotiate with my husband not to upgrade the speakers in the theatre room (again) we went to lifestyle store on the weekend to arrange an install date and he saw these newer speakers...$1200 on top of his already expensive system. This thing is already costing more than a brand new car. Thanks Gillym, makes sense at handover stage not before https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11338Jun 07, 2016 8:53 pm We were told we needed insurance from PCI which we got with GIO. Thanks Gillym, makes sense at handover stage not before https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ I wish we could get a theatre system worth a car. For now I'll stick with the 5.1 wiring that masterton offer. And somewhere down the track get decent speakers. Another question. We want our home theatre in a metallic paint, which for optimum results should be sprayed on... Anyone know the price masterton charge for a. A room painted in a different colour than the rest of the house. And b. For the paint to be applied with a spray gun. __________________________________________ House/Land Package Purchased:02.02.15 5% House Deposit Paid:17.03.15 10% Land Deposit Paid:18.08.15 Land Registered: 04.17 Slab Poured: 15.08.17 PCI: 17.05.18 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11340Jun 07, 2016 9:00 pm A. $300 per extra colour As many feature walls or rooms in same colour only $300 extra 4 17277 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16781 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20815 |
