All by ourselves 6 sleeps to go! All of the ones I've seen don't have a kick plate but I'll google the model number and see if I can get one. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1122Apr 02, 2017 9:26 am Ok let's talk window treatments..... Besides the obligatory sheets for the first little bit, what's everyone having? We are extremely open until we get our fences (hopefully extremely soon) so need to get cracking on the blinds.... Roller blinds seem very generic but they are so cost effective. Oh the dilemma! - otherwise known as Kym - Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1123Apr 02, 2017 10:53 am We have vertical drapes - boring I know but they are great and good blackout. Also helps with the non clutter look I like. I just want to keep it simple and cost effective!! Would have loved white plantation shutters but it was going to cost $15k to do the house and those things are dust traps... well that's the plan if we ever get our house built GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1125Apr 02, 2017 12:00 pm Hmmmm I'm thinking panel blinds for our sliding doors. I agree. The shutters and venetians are dust traps. I'm liking your pic shell. Oh charli. I really feel for you. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1126Apr 03, 2017 10:04 am 5 sleeps to go I am doing roller blinds.. cost effective... especially the motors in my case. the blinds motor cost $300 per blind compare to $800 for curtains... I like the look of plantation shutters but it let's a little bit of light in... I would prefer it to be "dark", no lights creeping from the sides or top... Also, the curtains lady suggested me to keep the blinds neutral so that other features in the house pop-up... Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1127Apr 03, 2017 12:32 pm Thanks Reg! 4 sleeps! handover and moving in on Friday. We've also got a blinds dude coming to measure up on Friday arvo. Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1132Apr 05, 2017 9:27 am 2 sleeps 2 sleeps 2 sleeps!!! We met the painter onsite yesterday. He's a really lovely dude. Turns out his gf is one of the mum acquaintances from school. Small town strikes again lol. Anyway we're really happy with the job he's done. He did heaps to fix up the stuff up from the kitchen place so I really appreciate the extra effort he's gone too. He got a bit of a bad rap from us and unfortunately we could only go on what we were being told. Anyway. He's done a magnificent job. - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1133Apr 06, 2017 7:11 am One sleep to go!!! Mirrors are in and I'm so happy we got them to change it. So so happy! It's what we wanted. And communal sleeping quarters for the family ready for removalists at 7am tomorrow. 🥂 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1134Apr 06, 2017 7:19 am Omg I can't believe it's just one sleep away!!! What mirrors did you have before? It's been this mirage of something happening eventually. And now it's 1 sleep. The tiler had left a space for a mirror that was as wide as the vanity but as tall as the 2.7 ceiling. Lol So basically flipped the orientation of the mirror. So try tiled the entire wall and installed the mirror on top of the tiles. They also had them starting too high so couldn't see anything below the neck - otherwise known as Kym - Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1136Apr 06, 2017 10:07 am One more sleep.... I know the feel and tomorrow when you get the keys, turn it slowly and hear the clicking sound.. that was my best moment (but then the owners key didn't work..that was a different story..lol) It will continue to feel surreal for few more days.. Am I really here? Inside the house not just walking around taking pics through the windows... (feels surreal even when I am typing this) Love the mirror and the way you extend it above the bath... I am so excited for you Kym and I am thrilled that I will have this excitement again when Charli moves in Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1137Apr 06, 2017 10:35 am What the hell lol Love what you've done with the mirror though!! I'm still so stoked for you hun!! Make sure you have an extra champers for me hehehe Thanks Reg, I swear I will never leave my house when its finally built lol, iIll become the crazy neighbour that peeps out the window that never actually leaves the house Re: Our first build: "Bridgewater" by Gj's Shoalhaven 1139Apr 06, 2017 11:27 am So exciting!!!!
