Hopefully with no admin charge! Unless someone has their Ageless pics to post? I love it, then change my mind, then love it all over again! We ended up picking marina Grey kitchen cabinets in sheen so thinking Winter Ice might be best? Also, after all the discussions here re tiles, I checked my quote and soap holders are removed and our tiles are specified either external or. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10924Sep 16, 2015 9:21 am light487 Get weird email from driveway people today.. no idea what it means: Quote: Dear Luke, KMD have been requested by Clarendon to install the driveway at your new Clarendon Home. KMD would just like to re-confirm the coloured concrete chosen at the Colour Studio was “ONYXX 44” – as per your signed colour chart. Can you please confirm by return email that you happy to proceed with this chosen colour. Also, we have attached the The Hills Shire Council Application Form – but as I have yet to receive an image of your property, other properties in Wattleridge Cres have already had cross over’s installed. If this applies to your property, the Council application form does not need to be lodged. Could you pls let me know or return the form if necessary as soon as possible. Many thanks and we look forward to hearing from you. Any ideas?? Obviously the colour bit I can answer.. but the rest of it.. half of it doesn't even make sense.. and the other stuff.. well.. how the heck am I supposed to know?! What she is trying to say is some houses in your estate already have 'cross overs' installed by the developer, this is the part of the driveway from the gutter to your boundary that crosses over council land. She wants to know if your place already has a cross over installed and thus if they only have to do form boundary to your garage. (if this is the case i would ask for a credit on the driveway costs as it will be a good 20m2 smaller then if it didnt have a cross over). IF you have absolutely no driveway (cross over) at all installed by developer then you need to fufill a council requirement to apply for the cross over as per your councils development rules. IF you already have a cross over you wont need to do this part and they will just concrete from your boundary to the garage. does that make sense? Do you have a cross over already? They want to see a photo of the fornt of your house to show there is or isnt a cross over.. if there is then i wouldnt pay them as much as half their work is already done... pending if driveway is a fixed cost or if its a Provisional cost... Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10925Sep 16, 2015 9:34 am Yeh thwt makes more sense. I did notice that some of the driveways had crossovers done with a different kind of cement and happened after the driveway was done.. Like weeks after. So maybe it is the developers but they're doing it after due to the space constraints.. Surely though it is something the Clarendon site supervisor would be able to inform them.. If you look back a bit Heidi had it in her house. I have been in her house numerous times.. Its not yellow. We may end up going with ehi even though they are marginally the most expensive for many of the same reasons Hi light487, very keen to know how you go. We initially got a quote from EHI for plantation shutters & security doors (2 double stackers, 1 sliding door & laundry door) for the whole house at $24k. I was able to get half from other suppliers. The only reason we would reconsider EHI would be to have the window covers completed before handover. How many windows were you looking at? Roof is finished! Eaves are done and bricks are all cleaned!! I'm so over the moon can't wipe the smile off my face!! He also told me next week we are having electrical rough in, air con install and waterproofing! That was the confusing part, don't the walls have to be lined first before waterproofing takes place?? Pics to follow tomorrow! Congratulations Lizzy083! We're waiting for the CDC application to be lodged. Clarendon saying we could go into construction by October... The ones clarendon install are pretty basic and not very bright. We had them installed for all the living areas, but just did bathrooms and outside after handover. Where they knew we were installing after like yhe bathrooms, they prewired and the install was easy. But in other areas, they installed the batten light to the framing, so new holes had to be made! Was so upset to have holes in my new house ceiling. But all patched now, but thought I'd warn those considering doing downlights after handover. Let them know, so they make the light holes away from the frame timbers. We are currently doing landscaping and have a massive stockpile of dirt beside the house. So spent all weekend moving dirt, have the blisters to prove it! And still only moved half of it. Hopefully the retaining walls and driveway get done this week. Back to watching the weather forecast! Thanks Cheryl! That's good to know! It's not too late for some of us! Hope your blisters aren't too bad! Thanks for the tip cheryl_2105! Tips as such are invaluable! Thank you again! All very similar, Gemini silver is the Greyest and marble mist has the most yellow tones. In the end it was 5 plantation shutters, 1 panel blind for the the stacker, and approximately 7 roller blinds of various sizes. We didn't do plantation in bathrooms etc Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10937Sep 16, 2015 12:11 pm mrrrrt bmitchel We got building approval today! Not too long now... Congratulations bmitchel! Was it through council or CDC? How long did the approval take? In QLD, with a private certifier, so I guess your equivalent of CDC? Privater Certifier was engaged on 10/8. Certification was on 9/9, so almost a month. We had an issue however, that they needed to fix with the zero-lot requirements. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10938Sep 16, 2015 12:34 pm CDC is private certifier yes.
