Both our bathrooms are recessed also as showers are all same floor level no step, no glass. Your place is looking great, look forward to seeing the bathrooms. Coral Homes general build thread 1082May 06, 2015 10:35 pm Thank you! Has been a long slow process with a few hiccups. So good now as seeing it all come together and hopefully only a few weeks to go. Where and what are you building? Do you have your own thread? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1083May 07, 2015 6:33 am Not started build yet but hopefully will have start date in couple of weeks, as we did all selections etc back in January Where building in Northern NSW just near Byron Bay, building a Noosa design but not really Once I get a start date I will start a thread for people to view, and follow as this forum has been very helpfull so hopefully can help others. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1084May 07, 2015 7:55 am While on the subject of electrical is there anywhere on my contract that says exactly what's included electrical wise? I might have missed it but I could only see our allowance, the TV antenna thing and that we want fans. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1085May 07, 2015 8:00 am BTTTB While on the subject of electrical is there anywhere on my contract that says exactly what's included electrical wise? I might have missed it but I could only see our allowance, the TV antenna thing and that we want fans. We had a list of included electrical in our Tender under the 'electrical modifications' section. This included Coral's allowance plus whatever we had added at that point. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1086May 07, 2015 8:08 am Standard elec isnt really a $ amount, it depends on the house. Basically allows for a batten in each room (more in large areas like lounge-dining) single or double power points in each room depending on the room and then one tv.point plus a couple other minor things. for my Bribie30 the itemised list of that stuff came to 3400 approx. We added 7500 allowance on top and spent all bar about 2300. We will get that 2300 back at the 3nd, but some will be used to cover our extras at tile and colour appt so no bill for us at the end. We have to supply 2 fan lights 23 down lights, an external spotlight and external feature light plus a toilet fan/light. I went in with prices of the items i want.and compared to clipsal. They will do all install and supply our plain exhausts and fan lights for bedroom, but we will supply all the other lights for them to instal. Saved a packet on downlights and the others really researching and shopping around. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1090May 07, 2015 12:40 pm Does anyone know the rough price upgrade for both laminate and engineered flooring instead of the gold range of tiles? Do you mind providing details? Do clipsal get funny about this? Thank you Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1092May 08, 2015 4:33 pm It was $78 for install of each "owner supplied light". This included our LED lights, fan lights and 2 exterior lights. I think for LED if they supply and instal it wad about 120-130 each so we saved a packet on the lights. We got ours from lighting illusions online - could have gone much cheaper but chose good quality with high lumen output for 18.90 each. Beacon equivalent started at $33 each. You can go as low as $10ea.but the lumen output isnt great. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1093May 08, 2015 8:10 pm Anyone know whether Coral's kitchen suppliers have the 'shark nose' drawer as an option for handle-less? You may be better off doing that directly through the cabinet makers. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1097May 08, 2015 8:28 pm MatDon Has anyone got the monument colorbond? And if so what do you think? Is it to dark? My render is a mix of "Doe" and "surfmist " so quite a light colour. Hey MatDon, Have you looked at Wallaby a little lighter than monument, still grey. Though I think light and dark contrast actually looks good. Just need to tie in window frame colour with the two. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1100May 08, 2015 8:50 pm Our guttering went on today and i already raced home to check my bassalt sample piece.. it looks almost brown in the sunlight. It should be fine once the tiles go on as the samples do match, but it really had me worried! You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14806 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15128 Hi so sorry for the late reply.
