Leaving the child at nanna's place so we can walk around without endless distractions We planned to go today because 2 of the 3 kids would be in school/kindy and we would only need to make arrangements for one... but no.. of course its a holiday here on the Gold Coast so all kids are home.. Grandmas are good for something aren't they Expect the kids to come back highly-dosed on sugar and other stuff they aren't supposed to eat hahahaha Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10407Aug 28, 2015 8:23 am Enjoy the home show Tile selection day for us! I think this day has me more stressed than any other selection haha. Does anyone know if we can elect full height tiling now or have to go through our CSC? And we were told all bathrooms have to have the same vanity colour, do all bathrooms have to have the same tiles? TIA Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10408Aug 28, 2015 8:37 am leeleh Enjoy the home show Tile selection day for us! I think this day has me more stressed than any other selection haha. TIA I assume you can choose full height tiling today because we asked to extend our kitchen tiling at the tile selection and the lady rang up and got a price straight away for us.... Who said you can't have different vanity colours?? Im pretty sure that isn't the case... I can't see why.. doesn't cost them any different. I have seen heaps of houses with different colours. All bathrooms can have different tiles. Yes I expect them to be bouncing off the walls when we get home.. normally the case when my mother in law comes around haha. All bathrooms can have different tiles. I don't see a reason why you can't have different tiles etc in every bathroom. Whether it is practical or not is another thing. We had a different scheme and different tiles in our downstairs area vs our upstairs area, so laundry and powder 1 downstairs had same bench colour/cupboards and upstairs (ensuite/bath/powder 2) had the same tiles, bench etc. I don't see a reason to change every bathroom's scheme myself. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10411Aug 28, 2015 8:45 am Hi Leeleh we were told at colours you can have different vanity colours but costs extra cuz they have to cut the stone off different slabs whereas having the same can be cut from the same slab.. something like that from memory. Good luck with your tiling appointment! Hope it goes smoothly. We have ours next sat. Stressing also =/ Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10412Aug 28, 2015 8:45 am 1st time builders light487 We've now formally engaged McGrath in Hornsby to sell our current property.. We did consider renting but it's not the right choice at this time. The market in our area is especially strong for selling. We're expecting a price at least $150k more than what we paid 1.5 years ago. And the rent would not have been quite enough to cover all bills (loan repayments, council, strata, water rates etc), so we're going instead for the money back and profit approach and since we are exchanging primary residences within 6 months of selling, we will be exempted from capital gains Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10413Aug 28, 2015 8:49 am We did consider renting but it's not the right choice at this time. We would be lucky if we made back what we paid for this house 8 years ago... Whereas rent would cover all costs and then some.. so we will see how it goes.. We have never had a rental before.. Not sure how long we will last before I insist we sell haha. We have the Commonwealth games coming in a few years so the closer we hold to there the higher the house prices will go.. well thats the plan Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 10414Aug 28, 2015 8:54 am Thanks guys!
