Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 1042Jul 30, 2015 7:56 am Hi Ses78 Still waiting for the slab here too, we have screw piers as well but that's about it since last Friday. Was supposed to get slab this week but it doesn't look like it will happen. Is your SS Dane ? Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 1043Jul 30, 2015 7:53 pm Quach 128 nope, our SS is Ken (Kenny) called the office to check on a new variation (more money!!) and they were surprised that things had slowed down but it is due to the lack of brickies.... So if anyone has some spare at the moment please send them our way Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 1045Jul 31, 2015 3:59 pm Quach128 Yay! Great to see your progress. Things will really start moving now. Ses78 Brickies, or lack thereof, seems to be everyone's delay. Fingers crossed. Hey all, we are officially at lock up.... cos we got another invoice. Lol. Oh well I guess about 8 weeks from now to hand over. I will start counting the sleeps. Weather has been kind to us all. Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 1046Jul 31, 2015 5:28 pm Hi all good to see lots of progress. I'm on the other side of the world relying on friends to drive by and update. Am told brickies will be finished mine end of next week, that's 2 months since they started the brickwork. Roof tiles are on site ready to go. Guttering, facia and eaves are done. After two weeks of no one on site, the past two days have been busy with bricks. As the left side of the duplex has to be raised for any potential floods, we have had to wait for some available brickies to come in and build the piers for the slab to lay on. They also started the brick foundations around the left side today and it's looking great We have had some issues with the retaining wall And where it has been built has caused us to have lost a lot of usable space down the side. We did not finish up getting any dirt brought in ( 210 tonnes was planned for) so this will be a welcomed credit in the variations however they will need to remove about three truck loads from what came out of the screw pier holes. Oh and a polite email the other day from accounts requesting that we start paying some bills off early!!!!!!! Seeings as not one job has been completed and our slab is so far two weeks late and counting, they received a 'NO!' Can't wait to see everyone else's progress Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 1049Aug 05, 2015 7:46 pm Hi guy's, Ses your slab is taking a while, judging by the pictures it doesn't look like a standard slab. I'm fortunate enough to have my slab completed on Monday as promised. Bigmamma, always good to see your progress because It gives me a good idea of timeframes Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 1052Aug 11, 2015 10:02 am Things are getting super frustrating here! 3 months in and all I have is a slab!! My frames have been sitting in a pile for the last few weeks. My construction client service consultant and site supervisor are on holidays now - did anyone think to tell us, or leave notes on our file? NNNNOOOO!!!! Last week we had our entire house screeded as we are tiling our entire house and today I received lock up invoice even though the doors and bits are delivered and not installed yet, hoping it happens today Big Mama, It looks like we only 10-14 days apart in the process. Soon enough we will be in our beautiful new homes ... Is anyone getting private inspection done, If so any recommendations on who I can get?
