For those who completed the Frame or stage 3, need your help.
We completed our frame, next week is plumbing according to my SS then bricks (me and doorsa also confused here, why plumbing after frame?)
Anyway, my SS allows me to visit our site, but I have to wear safety shoes and my SS will walk with me, I am going to see inside and observe the frame.
Really appreciate if you can share what was your experience during the frame inspection or when you hired a building inspector.
My guideline will be my contract design plan, I just need to count how many steel frame were installed. Any particular items I needed to pay attention?
Thanks in advanced.

Hey Navy,
Highly recommend hiring a private inspector to check it out.
I hired APBI and some of the stuff they checked were:
I did.
Some of the stuff they checked were:
1) quality of the wood used. i.e. if they were chipped or any damage etc
2) spacing between the columns.
3) placing of the studs
4) spacing of the dyna bolts used to secure the frame to slab. And the strength of the frame by jolting it to see how much it will move when force applied.
5) if the plumbing rough ins were filled with gel to secure the pipes from moving when water flows through them.
6) how many colums were used in places where the load falls on the frame and if that is sufficient or not
7) if the roof trusses are attached correctly or not
And a few more that i cant remember.
As for plumbing question - they have to lay the pipes etc within the frame before gyprock. Its called "rough in". Hope that clears your doubt.

Thanks Ajay.
I will try to book a building inspector if we can beat the deadline by next Tuesday.
If not I will take those items you provided.
Ah yeah, my SS text me 'plumbing rough in'.
Awesome, thank you!
