Browse Forums Building A New House Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 101Sep 26, 2016 12:40 pm Is that what Henley said? What if you are first to build? Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 102Sep 26, 2016 12:43 pm Well all of the blocks title at the same time, So i guess its up tp our council and if they approve it then thats good, however if they do not then it will go to the neighbour to dispute (we have just been through one with our neighbour) But it would be 3metres less fence haha Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 103Sep 26, 2016 1:14 pm Well I have researched it and you can build 10m + 25% on the boundary line! So looks like we will be fine Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 104Sep 26, 2016 2:41 pm stayxtrue Yep the standard garage length should be fine, but as we are adding the store room I fear that ut will go from 6 metres to 9.2 metres of garage on the boundary line! My neighbours may have something to say about it! Oh yes I understand, is the house next door built yet? Fingers crossed it gets approved because that's going to be AWSOME space!!! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 105Sep 26, 2016 2:44 pm We've discovered our garage and neighbours garage will both be in same boundary as we are sharing the crossover unless they choose to move theirs to the other side Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 106Sep 26, 2016 3:27 pm Mclaren77 stayxtrue Yep the standard garage length should be fine, but as we are adding the store room I fear that ut will go from 6 metres to 9.2 metres of garage on the boundary line! Well our blocks wont title until June 2017 so no one has built yet But the law states you can build 10metres + 25% of the remaining length 10 m + [(32 m – 10 m) x 0.25] 10 m + [22 m x 0.25] 10 m + 5.5 m 15.5 m permissible wall on boundary. Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 108Sep 27, 2016 7:52 pm Bricks looks good... sorry i might have missed it but what bricks are these? Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! These are the Austral CHAR bricks part of their new industrial range! They look even better in person! Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 112Sep 28, 2016 11:42 am Important tip! I noticed when we received final plans for our house there was no drawing of the staircase! So we thought well it must be as per display! Anyhow now that our staircase is in, I noticed that the balustrade to the ground floor going up is on the wrong side! Currently it's been placed on the left hand side as you go up when as per display it's on the right hand side! I'm requesting it to be moved as per the display! My reason for this is I prefer the balustrade hidden from the view of the front entrance hall. But for whoever is building the Palace you might want to check where yours is placed and save yourself the headache. We were never asked which side we wanted it, rather it was just put wherever they decide! Here's a pic to explain what I'm talking about. Excuse the kiddies in the pic! There are so many little things I have thought about but this is not one of them. There are so many little things I have thought about but this is not one of them. No problems!! Thought I might save everyone else the headache. We brought this to the attention of the site manager, so let's see how it gets handled Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 115Sep 28, 2016 4:10 pm well hopefully it all goes to plan for you, I am sure they can change it easily enough! The only thing I can think of is maybe the palace lux and Palace q1 has a different configuration with the stairs? Re: New Build with Henley ( Palace Q1) 118Sep 28, 2016 8:37 pm spice girl We are actually having a handrail on both sides for my mother's benefit, cost for extra rail was just under $300. The reason I want it on the other side is just for aesthetic looks looking from the front door leading down the hallway, I expected it to be a plain wall. Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 12580 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 19601 |
