Browse Forums Building A New House Re: JG King Hartwell - Melbourne western suburbs 104May 06, 2016 8:11 pm Sorry to hear about your slow progress. My house isn't progressing as fast as if like either due to various reasons. It's really disheartening. I saw some comments before about the shower recess. We got a custom size one because we thought their standard ones were too small too. I think it cost $450. It sometimes feels like this build has been nothing but a disappointment ? I have seen frame sitting on slab for 2 weeks before it gets erected. I'm aware that it happens. I'm just so tired of the delays that seem to be unrelenting in our case. We had planned to move in during June/July but at this rate we will be lucky to have a frame at that point Re: JG King Hartwell - Melbourne western suburbs 109May 06, 2016 9:15 pm surtees Sorry to hear. Hopefully it goes up soon. You'll love it once you start seeing progress. Has your SS said when it will start? I'm sure. He said they would start last Friday. That was two weeks ago haha. Re: JG King Hartwell - Melbourne western suburbs 111May 07, 2016 9:29 am surtees Bugger maybe give him a call it has been crappy weather this week maybe thats what slowed them? I suspect the weather was probably responsible. Just disappointing (for us) that they haven't been working on our site when we have had such lovely weather the past few days. I'll flick him an email in a couple of days time. Re: JG King Hartwell - Melbourne western suburbs 118May 10, 2016 1:08 pm jaslee It appears the weather affected our frame work. But here is a daytime photo of our soon-to-be-assembled frame: In other news, we just went to visit the new Highbury display at The Address at Point Cook. Absolutely beautiful! Hi Jaslee, wish you good luck with your building journey. Are they steel frames? A friend of mine who built with JG king said steel frames made the mobile reception worst. He had to walk out of the house to attend phone calls. Good to check with the builder whether they have solution for this now. I lived in a steel frame home for 15 years of my life (another JG King home) and have only ever had minor issues with phone reception or wifi. I have had troubles with double glazed windows before, so perhaps your friend's issue relates to those instead? Hello, we can help you please get in contact 0421019219 thank you 3 32588 Thanks for your reply! We're definitely not after a small house Might still have a chat to them. Who did you end up building with if you don't mind me asking? 2 2760 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
