Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ As we're rendering the whole house, three weeks after our external colours appointment M are saying they can't wrap the feature render colour that we're having on our portico around the corner and then just have it meet up with the main render colour, otherwise they would need a junction box which they say won't look nice. I would prefer they extend the upper cladding to go right across the side of Bed 1 to meet the leisure room wall. They didn't say this couldn't be done, just that they would need to raise a variation, charge us for the extra cladding and redraw the plans. They suggested either stopping the feature render very slightly around the corner behind the downpipe and doing a junction box behind the downpipe; or extending the feature render all across Bed 1 to meet the Leisure room wall, I'm not happy with either of these. What do you guys think? i think they just want to do whatever option doesn't require them to redraw the plans, but we've paid the admin fee for other structural changes and they're currently redrawing them for that so I don't see what the issue is with my cladding preference (I'm happy to pay for more cladding)? Anyway, they should have realised this in the colour appointment, not now three weeks later. http://jazzyandluke.blogspot.com.au Hey Jazz- there is an M home in the street we are building (I think it is a Newhaven) it was build a few years ago. I noticed the cladding is going a bit further behind than yours. See pic below Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I saw another one where they have upgraded to brick on the facade but had the matrix cladding going all the way back to the end. Considering getting our own appliances but seems like a lot of work. Thanks. Hi Boysenberry2014 We considered the same thing with our appliances but found it easier to work with the brands Metricon deal with (Smeg, Fisher & Paykel, Technika & Bertazzoni) so installation is all covered etc. We had the Elba by Fisher & Paykel in our promo package and have just got our costing back from our studio M appointment we upgraded most of the appliances just in the Fisher & Paykel range - this may be helpful: Fisher & Paykel OR90SDBGFX2 Dual Fuel Upright Cooker - $670 upgrade from package Fisher & Paykel HP90IDCHX2 900mm Powerpack including additional overhead cupboard with (2No.) doors to Kitchen. - $1050 (Concealed rangehood - no credit back from the rangehood in the promo package - or they say this is the price taking that into account) Fisher & Paykel DW60CHX1 Freestanding Dishwasher to Kitchen. - $130 (Still only a basic dishwasher but at least its got digital buttons and not just a knob you have to turn) Also for anyone who is interested in Caesarstone prices we did a Cat 2 (Urban) in our kitchen standard size - cost $510 We had one bathroom with Caesarestone included in our package cost to upgrade to Category 3 (1200 vanity) was - $160 We added stone to the other bathroom cat 3 as well - the cost for this for a 900 vanity - $420 Upgrade to frameless shower screen in ensuite (1200 one piece of glass with a hinged door) cost - $1195 Upgrade from Dulux 2 colour system (limited colour choice) to 3 Coat paint system internal walls (Much more flexible with colour options) - $1360 Hope that helps some peeps do their budgets - I know Ive found this thread helpful for detailed info. Ill share some more prices when Ive got some time, happy to share if it helps people along this tricky process!
