The kitchen is lovely too. I can see why you're annoyed with the rail sticking out over the tiles. If they don't want to break up existing tiles could you get them to do full height tiling in the shower recess instead perhaps? Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 103Jun 12, 2015 11:56 am Thanks guys! I know I complain about a lot of little things on here, but overall I really do think the house is great! I like how my feature windows and alcove turned out, and the whole place is just brighter and more open than my current place! Not to mention all the bench space I'll have!!! My inspector sent his report through at 8pm last night after doing the inspection 8-10 that morning! Really pleased with his attention to detail and the thoroughness of his report too if anyone wants a recommendation just pm me! Lots of pictures in there too Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 104Jun 13, 2015 1:16 am Kash, I would appreciate if you could pm me the details of the inspector. Thanks Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77196 Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 105Jun 15, 2015 11:41 am Done smart homes! Well this mornings meeting was anticlimactic! After spending all Friday emailing back and forth with the CLO, and her saying there was nothing wrong with the way it's installed and strongly implying there was no way they would fix it, I was ready for a bit of a fight this morning.... But nope - two minute convo with the site supervisor and they're fixing it... Apparently since they're not changing any plumbing, just as the attachment it's a bit easier. Jus goes to show you can't always take their first answer, which is incredibly frustrating! Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 106Jun 15, 2015 1:33 pm I won't comment other than to say I'm glad they're fixing it the way it should be When do you get keys Kash? Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 107Jun 15, 2015 1:39 pm I don't know!!! Two weeks from PCI would be 25th June, but I doubt that'll happen, supervisor also seemed to doubt it this morning- apparently I'll get a weeks notice for when I'm likely to get keys. I figure early July. Storing furniture isn't as expensive as I thought! The main cost seems to be in having to pay two days of movers! Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 108Jun 15, 2015 1:46 pm Well I've got fingers crossed it's sooner rather than later. I'd offer u storage in our garage but it's filled w our pavers and their equipment. Good luck. We still have lots to ve fixed and it's a pain coordinating w trades so if you can wait until it's all done i recommend it. Currently at home waiting for Jason windows repairman to come and the garage door service Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 109Jun 15, 2015 1:49 pm Oh yeah, I'm definitely taking the fact that everything's going to be stored anyway as an opportunity to get more stuff done before moving in, and stop trying to cram multiple trades into a single day! Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 110Jun 15, 2015 2:55 pm Your house is looking lovely Kash!!!!! Those feature windows are so fantastic! You're place is looking great too - I love your island I just realised today is 7 months since my slab went down, 14 months since settlement of my block, and I'm still not sure when I'm getting keys Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 112Jun 22, 2015 12:49 am Aww Kash I know how awful that feels but if it makes you feel better i saw action at your place today, a Sunday! We never ever had anyone working on the weekend so that's a good sign perhaps. Hope you get keys very very soon. Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 113Jun 22, 2015 1:14 am Kash Oh yeah, I'm definitely taking the fact that everything's going to be stored anyway as an opportunity to get more stuff done before moving in, and stop trying to cram multiple trades into a single day! Hehe I read that wrong - missed out the 'done' I'm with ardie I really hope you get your keys soon! Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 114Jun 22, 2015 10:02 am Don't worry malsannie - I'm totally getting more stuff too : Ordered most of my light fittings the other day! Sunday work is pretty impressive, I'll have to stop by during the week and see if I can figure out what they've done! Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 115Jun 22, 2015 5:16 pm Did you end up going with dulux Highgate, Kash? We have chosen the Highgate...painting starts tomorrow but first coat of paint will go on maybe Wednesday. I'll post some pics on my thread so you can see how it looks! I've read lots of comments that the Lexicon gives off a blue colour...hoping that Highgate stays neutral! I've got a sample board of it done up and it seems to be a pretty neutral grey in all the rooms I've looked at it... Any pictures would be great! I'll definitely check them out Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 117Jul 02, 2015 9:23 pm Officially no keys for me this week! I had to email and ask last week though because no update for me! I then had to reply again to ask when they thought I might get keys since they hadn't thought to include that in the first response... Anyhow, they are officially aiming to get me keys by the end of next week... Four weeks after PCI. I've rearranged all my post handover trades to between the 13th and the 25th and it's looking like moving on the 28th!!! So I will just make it in before August! Which is perfect timing for my new couch - which I ordered on the weekend - I figured if it was ever going to be on special it would be last weekend of the financial year and it was Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 118Jul 03, 2015 1:22 am So close yet so far! I'm not letting myself go look at the house this week, because it looks so done, there's just a few little finishing bits that are taking aaaaaagggeeeeeesssss! I want to move in already! The couch is the one from Dankz I posted a picture of earlier in the thread... A big corner modular with chaise, but all in charcoal rather than orange!!! I thought about doing a pattern back like in their display models, but went with the plain easier to change up cushions for a new colour when I get sick of it rather than try and reupholster! Re: Building w/ redink - Almost done - PCI next thursday! 120Jul 06, 2015 7:17 am How frustrating to see the house and it is more or less done and you can't move in! But yay for keys at the end of NEXT WEEK - WHOOP! Can't wait to see pics of the sofa in situ I have a home gym at home. It weights 150KG including the weight stack. I'm a big boy, around 150KG myself. I was thinking about moving it up stairs to the second… 0 6641 3 6813 We've had the offer of a short term tenant whilst waiting for CDC/DA home approval and demolition for our knock down rebuild.
