Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 101Jan 03, 2014 2:56 pm Seems strange why when they already have a great big sign advertising the park that they should take down the 'spot of future school' and replace with neighborhood park commencing early 2014. They have never referred to the oval area as a neighborhood park has always been referred too as the 'central oval'. Strange... Very strange.... Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 103Jan 24, 2014 2:55 pm I thought the same thing but i looked on the Greenvale Gardens website and the school was still listed and also the sign relating to the school is back. Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 104Jan 28, 2014 9:03 am I drove past yesterday. The sign for the school is up again. The estate is actually starting to take shape. Hopefully by the end of this year it'll look somewhat finished and we can actually to use the parks etc. Our land has finally settled. Just waiting to finalise things with Porter Davis and they will start building. Exciting times ahead Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 105Jan 30, 2014 2:12 pm I drove throught the estate over the weekend and noticed that there was a sign for Providence on the land where the school is proposed and that there is a much larger Grevale Gardens Sign blocking it. Cheers Mr Cool Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 108Feb 17, 2014 6:51 pm Very good! You building with Porter Davis? What house did you decide on? We are building with them too but don't go to contract until end of March, hopefully then can start building in April!! Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 110Feb 18, 2014 3:41 pm My husband and I are building on Blueberry St and we settled on our land 30th Jan and site start was booked in for 14th Feb however the ANZ totally buggered our loan and were only going to release $49,000 for our total build so we've had to go back and re-write the entire loan. We're building with 8 Homes and have found them to be excellent and very efficient but ANZ- not so much! Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 111Feb 18, 2014 5:27 pm It's good to finally see some action in that area! We are also building with porter davis a London 24 also out first home! Can't wait to get it all locked away so we can start! Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 112Feb 21, 2014 11:50 am That looks like a great floor plan, which facade did you go for? Our temporary fence went up yesterday and site scrape is today so hopefully we'll be the first in on Blueberry. Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 114Mar 17, 2014 7:12 pm Heard today that the Central Park will not commence until June. And the first stage will only consist of playgrounds and smaller external stuff! The main oval/ soccer pitches / what ever will not start until next year now as the council still has not approved funding... I think it's pretty unfair how they are able to show people pictures and diagrams clearly highlighting the central oval and saying it was meant to be completed by the end of 2013, now they are telling us the main part of it won't be started until 2015! Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 115Mar 19, 2014 2:50 pm I was originaly told it was ment to be completed my June 2012. All of this should have been agreed by the end of 2012. Why are they still deciding on this 2 years later? Cheers Mr Cool Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 117Mar 20, 2014 1:44 pm Here is The 'official' response: Please see current updates below : Phase 1 of the Park (i.e. children’s park, equipment, shelter, etc.) – The tenders have come in and the job is about to be awarded to the contractor, to commence construction approx. June 2014. Phase 2 of the Park (i.e. playing field, walking tracks, etc.) – Currently going through the motions at Council – waiting on their directive re timing, shape (football or soccer) and council’s due share of the funding towards the reserve. Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 118Mar 24, 2014 8:48 am Hello all, had PCI last week. Trying to be organised now and going around sorting out tradies and the like. Has anyone got any recommendations? im after the following 1. Electricians (for downlights + other general stuff) 2. Fencers (fencing on one side of house + fence gate) 3. Driveway people 4. Concreters (pathway around the house) thanks all. Knowing how things worked out with the front entry and their Tender process I would be very surprised if they actually got the Scope of works correct for the tender. Let’s expect there will be more delays on the completion of the oval due to variations etc. My bet is that when I move back to my place in October (after the house being rented for 18 months and completed for 2 years) that the oval will not have been completed. Cheers Mr Cool Re: Greenvale Gardens, Greenvale VIC - Boutique Homes 120Mar 28, 2014 1:39 pm I also just got off the phone to them regarding this and was told that are awaiting approval from the Council and they are ready to appoint contractors BUT the phase 2 of the park is completely up to Council and funding and will be done when they see fit. I was also just told that although the school is on the precinct map that its up to the department of education whether they need another school WTF? How can you sell land at the price we paid (not cheap) with the promises made to us and back track on that? soooo annoyed. 10 16412 I have posted this before: We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing. Thorough reports… 2 5182 |
