I'm new to the forum, but joined to see what everyone else was up to, as my wife and I are just starting to build the Liberty 42. Here's hoping our build progresses as smooth as yours seems to be. On the outside they have started the rendering. Sounds like we might get stairs next week which is pretty exciting! Hi deletedpenguin...welcome! Glad to see someone else building a Liberty! Sorry to hear your house is a bit slow atm...it's looking good so far..looks pretty big! Trust me on this one, your house is definitely BIGGER than my skinny sausage house! My house is narrower than yours by a metre!!!! We're about the same length (tho I think your design is also longer by a metre) You see, not only do I take crooked and off centre pics, I am also able to take photos that make the house look bigger, people look taller and skinnier - and all without any tricks involved! Inside we have doors, architraves and skirting, stairs and waterproofing. Expecting a kitchen delivery tomorrow. I totally understand that feeling of, how shall I phrase it...., annoyance.... with the scaffolding in the way. Mine still has scaffolding up the front and sides and it's such an eyesore! I can't wait for them to come down but I know it'll be some weeks yet cos' we still have the render for the front of the 2nd storey and portico. If rendering wasn't so expensive, I would have gone for a fully rendered house to be honest. Actually, now I'm thinking we should have just gone for cement cladding all round the house!!!!!! Since the bricks are only used for aesthetic purposes and have no structural function whatsoever!!!! Oh well....nonetheless, I can't believed you "stitched" 14 pics together to get the one pic!!!! What patience you must have?!!!! I know you mentioned this before but how on earth did you do this??? BTW, your site looks extremely clean!!!!!! Instead of the rain falling from the gutter straight onto the ground (and causing a bog of mess onsite), the rainwater gets straight back into the stormwater system!!!! Clever your builders are. I haven't seen this yet on VIC house builds yet. My neighbour certainly doesn't have it. Hiya Nightshade, With the tiling starting this week, surely the house will be completed by mid-end January surely!!!! if I go by my SS's estimation for a double storey, he said it normally takes 6-8 weeks to completion once the tilers are in (probably with a factor of delay put into it too). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that the house gets done by end Jan 2010. That would be a blast!!!! Even though it's only wet area tiling, because we paid extra to get it all to 2m it's taking them awhile. Hoping that it's going to be done on Monday. The rest of this week is pre-painting QA and fixups and then next week they start paining. Apparantly that takes about 3 weeks and depending on how much of a break the painters have we may be painting well into Jan.
