Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Eden Brae contract 7Aug 30, 2008 7:51 am ![]() Hi, Southies, yes we have seen the "standard electrical plan" they gave me one to have a look at tender stage but the one in the contract is blank. I just thought that one should be included in the contract. did you change anything in the contract? We had a standard blank electrical plan included in the contract. This is standard for EB & nothing to be worried about. Besides, we knew that we would include extras. However, if you won't be adding anything to the standard inclusions, I would still like to see the standard plan included in the contract. The 'proper' electrical plan is provided to you after you have had your appt & selected what items you want. Along with the plan, you get the total cost of your extras. It's only then, after you've checked/changed it, that you sign off on it. What specifically do you mean by "change anything in the contract " ? Do you mean certain clauses ? We just altered Clauses 6.3 & 6.4 to read 5 working days & not 2. Generally, the contract was OK. Of course, it's skewed towards the builder, but having said that, there was nothing illegal about any of the clauses. Asking for changes to clauses depends very much on how pedantic you are & whether EB are prepared to do it. At this point in time, we are satisfied with our situation. The building stage though, will be a whole other process. Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade I built with EB back on 2009.
