We have been told that tiling will be finished next Monday and then the painters start. We have been told early April for handover, but would love it sooner if possible -Sick of renting and all the dead money !!!! congrats we are close to were you are we having tiling start this week and kitchen etc soon as held up because of rain( flooded roads) so we are still on target for around early may. To everyone else, well done on the progress. It looks like most are going on swimmingly. As for my build, 3 words... PCI on Wednesday!!!! OH YEAH, can't wait!! Check list - CHECK Inclusions list - CHECK Variations list - CHECK Sticky dots - CHECK Bring it on No way! your kidding? whoo hoo you got the speed dating version of building. Congrats! No, not kidding. Such a spin out!. I went past last Friday and caught a tradie on site so I took the opportunity to have a sticky beak and sure enough our tiling issues were fixed and all the fitout was complete (except flooring which we'll do after handover). I rang the SS today to confirm progress and his response; " I was about to call... Sentinel and Aircon are the last to finish up. Cleaners are booked in and driveway is ready to pour on Thursday. How about we book in for Wednesday?" So stoked coz we settled the sale of our current house last Monday too. DOUBLE YAAY! Double yay alright! Yeah we did the same and our tiling issue fixed as well. We are supposed to be done by end of March but so much to do I just dont see it happening, who knows? By the way do you or anyone else know when they give you the 200 something odd days the project needs to be done by is that working days or calendar days? Trying to figure out when its supposed to be finished by. Woo hoo!!! I didnit get a chance to post on the blog as I didn't stop until midnight last night due to installing curtains, light fittings, assembling bar stools and moving heaps of boxes. Busy busy busy.... The carpet guys are here right now and am expecting the splash-back today as-well. Will post more pics soon. I love the photo! But be careful posting photos of your keys, as they can be cut from photos, and theoretically all they'd then need is your address. Sorry, I'm just a bit paranoid of this. Picked up many problems, but we are apparently now within 1 month of completion! They installed the wrong kitchen shelves (no soft-close), missed the rain-head shower in ensuite, and installed the bathroom accessories in places we didn't want them (we requested they call us - I'm literally 5 minutes away at any time of the day). P!ssed off. But on a positive note, taps installed nearly everywhere, painting nearly complete, tiling complete, verandah railing installed, inner air conditioning ready with vents. SS says just electrician and a clean and we should be good for the official walk-through. And then 2 weeks after that, the PCI/handover. Personally, I don't get the difference or need for the walk-through. We see it every 2 weeks (officially) and daily unofficially. Can't wait till we can get in and start on the landscaping. I need to get a digger down the back doing its thing prior to the external air con unit installation - but SS tells me we control when that gets installed. Not that I trust that advice.... It's quiet today here, but not at our building site. Bath-tubs installed today, along with the garage door and a few fineries. But I have a question, particularly for those that are at PCI or beyond, in a double-storey home. Did you have a weird vent access-panel installed below the s-bend for each of your bath-tubs??? Check the photo out - one in our Great Room, and another in the laundry. I can just make out the s-bend through the vent shafts. I've never seen something so d0dgey!! Has this happened to anyone else?? I would think if the S-bend is blocked, they need access to unblock it? But sure these days plumbers can unblock from above I will check with my SS if this is the case for us as well If so, will get it removed. I admit, it does look off Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 3.0 1699Feb 26, 2013 6:53 pm Jo & Waz, Yes the stupid vents are installed below the baths. We couldn't get them to remove them and we tried pretty hard - hope you have more luck. We ended up with a laundry spout in our bathrooms cause normal spouts wouldn't reach.... hows that for planning.
