Hey Cackling, we chose the Estate facade similar to the one at the Oran display home, what about yourself? We chose our tile selections late (actually just on the weekend) but hopefully they should be laying it soon. We went with the standard selection which I was told is flush with the carpet. If you choose to upgrade however to say a 60x60 porcelain, you will need to raise your carpets if you want them flush. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 552Sep 20, 2012 12:20 pm Yes we have the Estate facade as well, did you have any issues with the build?, Our lot is straight up Middleton Drv past the display homes over the crest and you will see the firstyle billboard on the land. We made minor changes to plans and are waiting for them to come back while we pick bricks etc. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 555Sep 21, 2012 8:53 am We have about 4 weeks left to go! Floor tiling is done, bathrooms are all tiled, Kitchen is in, house is all locked up and Garage door is on. They start the painting Monday and should have it done with in a week. Driveway goes down in 3 weeks! Can't wait! It looks like a house now! Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 556Sep 21, 2012 10:23 am Hey Cackling, our build has been relatively pain free. I'm surprised how quick it's gone up but since the lock up it has slowed down a bit. We have had issues with Firstyle losing documents in the mail, so keep on top of any correspondence you have with them. They have friendly staff but you need to chase them up if you want things done. JC our site supervisor is good and knows his stuff. The wife and I walk around the estate every weekend so we'll make sure to check your block out David, we started our build in April and so far we have the house painted and the kitchen in. Looks like you might beat us to it! They have yet to do the tiles, wet areas, light fixtures, electrics and I need to get started on the fence. I was told by a neighbour that Fencing Solutions is best. Do you have any other suggestions? Hopefully I can look into it this weekend. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 557Sep 21, 2012 10:38 am Hey Ryan, good to hear your build is nearing completion! April your build started? Wow! A little on the slow side but at least there's progress. My build started on the 4th July ( well levelled the block anyway) They then commenced construcion on site 6th July. Theres still a bit left: up to the Painting now. Then install the 70 downlights, install the Cesarstone tops to the bathroom, ensuite and of course the Kitchen, the final electrical fitout, kitchen appliances install, AC unit, hot water and carpets. then the driveway and lanscaping. 4 weeks max it will be done. In regards to fencing, Fencing solutions I have heard are good. I'll PM you a few numbers of other fencing contractors. I have also advertised my fencing job on www.servicesseeking.com.au so i'll see what quotes I get from that too! Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 558Sep 22, 2012 8:32 pm Wow David and Ryan, almost at at the finish line. Yeah my frame did go up this week - the windows went in today - but two windows didn't make it in - they may have had an issue with the frame. Im pretty happy with the progress so far - seems to be on track 3.5 weeks after excavation started. Aaron Smith Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 559Sep 24, 2012 9:11 am Great to hear the progress Aaron! Soon it will be bricked up and start to take shape! Weather this week looks pretty good so far.. fingers crossed for good weather for you!! Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 560Sep 25, 2012 11:36 pm To the Firstyle house owners, sales rep is away until thurs so maybe someone can answer this quicker. With choosing stone benchtops, there is a very limited range on offer in the Client Manual, can we choose a different colour from the same range?, As we are set on a black stone bench top, but only browns are in the manual. Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you.
