We had another "final" inspection this morning and listed another page of faults. The longer this build goes no, the more faults are found.
We were not given a date for settlement as yet, but we assume another 1-2 weeks. In this time all repairs should be made and we will get a private inspection completed to ensure the brickwork is up to standard.
My advice for anyone building with any builder is to put aside some cash for at least 2 building inspections. One at frame and one after linings. I didn't get this done as everything was looking fine and so I didn't think we needed one. Then I had a trained eye have a look and point a few issues out.
So we are getting a proper inspection to just check the brickwork to ensure there are no major issues.

I'm looking to get LED down lights shortly. One of my mate's is a sparky so we just got the basic electrical knowing that we'd upgrade things after handover. You are doing the right thing by holding off & getting it fixed. Mistakes are going to happen but it is the way the builder handles it, that makes a company stand out. Do you know if EBH will accept inspections from other parties? It's hard, but we want our house completed the way we want it, so we can wait a little longer. They have to allow private inspectors through - as long as you go through the SS. Congratulations mate. Finally I paid $250 to Abbey Blinds, I got quotation from outside and negotiation with Abbey Blinds and they matched it. Only Advantage Blinds would be installed before you move in.
