New Home - Facade Colour Selection

Hi everyone,

My partner and I are building our first home and are currently going through the colour selection process. We have found choosing the internal colours very easy but are struggling when it comes to the external colours.

We are building the Lindeman with M* and have chosen the coastal facade. Ultimately, the outcome that we are trying to achieve would be something like this colour scheme: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅

We attended our colour selection appointment today and felt somewhat rushed through the process. Now that we're home, we're not sure that the selections we've made will achieve the look we are going for.
So far we have chosen the following:

Colorbond Roof - Woodland Grey
Gutters - Woodland Grey
Fascia - Colorbund Dune
Cladding - Colorbond Dune
Render - Malay Grey
Timber windowframes, doorframes and beams to pillars.

Can anybody suggest any alternate colours that me help us achieve our desired look?

Malay looks a bit neutral whereas in your example the render looks more warmer and earthy like Ploughed Earth or Goanna Grey. A warmer grey would blend in better with the timber features.

Hi D@n, you're definitely right. We do need a colour for the render with a little more warmth in it. You're suggestions are really helpful we'll definitely be considering them. Thanks!

Having second thoughts about our colour selection again!! Looking back at what we've chosen, we're concerned that the dune (cladding, fascia) is going to be too light against the ploughed earth render and woodland grey roof. Can anyone suggest another alternative? Considering mudpack as a possibility.

I originally choose dune for our cladding to match our garage door but was worried it might look washed out in the light, so I asked Michelle on the home decorating thread and she suggested Saudi sand, a bit darker than dune, but in the same tones, my cladding is painted now and I love it!

I would keep your fascia and gutter the same colour - so both Woodland Grey and then choose something similar to what gogo has suggested for your cladding.

Hi,
In my opinion timber looks best against an off/white. Colours are very personal.

Here are my recommendations:
Roof: Woodland Grey
Gutter & Fascia: Woodland Grey
Cladding & soffit: Surfmist
Render: A soft/medium olive green (depending on the paint manufacturer)
Garage Door: Timber or Timber look.
