Yes we built with Carlisle, they were extremely quick with our build. Our site costs (which included the retaining walls) was around 25- 26K. I've been extremely happy with them, so best of luck with which ever builder you chose. I think there are at least 4-5 homes being built with Carlisle in the Stage 1 and 2. Gren, we submitted our landscape request form last year and still waiting on for our landscaping. I've been told it will happen soon, but in reality I don't mind waiting until our neighbour has finished building to avoid it all detroyed. Thanks Tramsok!!!!! Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 327Jun 07, 2012 2:38 pm Finally everything is fitting in place. We decided to go with PD (Randwick 27) as we wanted a single storey that fits in our land and they were the only ones we liked. Intending to start in Sep Does anyone have Bolero Timber looking floors?? Any comments?? I have two toddlers so wanted to get something hardwearing....n easy to clean Cheers Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 328Jun 12, 2012 2:51 pm Hi Everyone! We are settling our land next week and signing the building contract the week after! Very exited! We are lot 88 - is anyone else in that strip of houses? The ones which have to be single story? I just want to know the size of a double driveway? how much M2? The builder has quoted 40M2 but i think this is HUGE! Thank you Wendy Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 329Jun 30, 2012 8:47 am Hi Wendyj, were in the same strip and are close to completion with the building of our home. Im currently in the process of getting quotes for the driveway. 40m2 sounds correct and this will depend on the set back of your garage. If you have a look on this forum people have discussed their driveways etc and should give you an insight to what to expect. Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 330Jun 30, 2012 11:03 am Thanks for your feedback! We had a look at the site plan as well and it does seem like it will be around about that! We decided not to get it done by the builder but to complete it after handover! Is cooling a mandatory inclusion? Initially our sales consultant said it was optional but it seems like it is mandatory? Thank you! Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 331Jul 03, 2012 4:44 pm Hi All, Great to hear from new people moving into the area and building at Harcrest. Been in the house nearly 3 months now, and I can say finally getting sleep at the weekend now as there is not so much activity. Only got a few items to complete in order to get back deposit paid. Not sure if anybody has got this back yet, or applied to get this back yet? Please let us know if you have and what Mirvac checked for. Looking to get side gate completed, if anybody knows of reasonable company that quoted a good price, please let me know. Thanks, Gren Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 332Jul 04, 2012 2:28 pm Hi everyone, NBN is apparently now live through our estate! Yay! I've called up NBN and they have advised it is connected and good to go. Not sure if and when Mirvac were going to communicate this to us residents. I have called up a few ISP already to find a good deal and arrange for connection. Gren, looking at getting a side gate also. Hard enough getting a fencer to come out get a quote at this stage, been waiting over 3 weeks. I've had mixed responses, including those of NBN. Thanks. Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 335Jul 13, 2012 9:41 am Hi All, Great news about NBN. We're not too far away and expect to be able to move in close to end of September, and I'd be struggling without a decent internet connection Had a question about the bond? Does it take long for Mirvac to release the bone money once Occupancy certificate has been provided by the builder? Has anyone got their bond back yet and how long is the process? Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 336Jul 16, 2012 11:27 am Guys anyone else been informed they have a new contact for mirvac? We are near completion and are also intreseted in how quick the 10K bond gets paid and the process. If your looking for a builder I highly recommend "Rawdon Hill" they have been fantastic. We went through and compared other builders and they are by far more competitive. They do a fair bit of work at waterways and settlers run....their service is great, very personal and professional. And no i dont work for them! lol Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 337Jul 17, 2012 10:21 am We are currently still waiting to settle our block but I've heard from a friend that a few people have been experiencing cracks in the walls and roofs because one side of the house has sunk. Has anyone experienced this? Apparently the estate used to be a quarry hence the soft clay and soil and people are spending 20-30K just on foundation work to dig concrete piles deep into the ground. I'm hoping the Mirvac developments have done the same... Also we're hoping to build a decking in the back yard, has any got any good recommendations on any builders and advise whether they have applied for a building permit to do so? Sam, did you encounter the same response contacting ISPs? Hi all, Long time since I visited the forum. On learning that we are NBN ready, I contacted iiNet and arranged an appointment for NBN technicians to come out today to check out/install the necessary stuff for my internet connection. Unfortunately, no one turned up and on enquiry and close follow up with both NBN and the service provider, I was finally told that the service provider has not completed the formalities with NBN and hence will not be in a position to proceed for another week or two. Please bear this in mind and ask some searching questions to your ISPs when you engage them, as this is a new estate and none (to my knowledge) has yet got their connection in place. Good Luck. Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 340Jul 24, 2012 1:21 pm Hi everyone, Yeah still waiting for the providers to get connection to NBN. Tried iiNET and they said a few weeks, so at the moment trying Exetel who have advised me hopefully next week. Exetel plans are pretty good but they are not as big or well known as the other major providers like Telstra, Optus etc. Has anyone got connected yet? Got mail from Mirvac that iprimus is available immediately if you decided to connect with them. Little S, nothing I've heard about cracks in walls. If the engineers and builders have done their job right, then the 20-30K for site costs should ensure that doesn't happen (fingers crossed). Our bond took a few months to get back. Really need to hassle and put pressure on Mirvac when you're ready for them to come out and inspect Tramsok Building Montana 27 with Carlisle Homes @ Harcrest 23/10/11 Land Ballot 05/12/10 Deposit 27/07/11 Contract 20/08/11 Site Start 13/09/11 Slab 22/09/11 Frame complete 13/10/11 Lock-up 25/11/11 PCI Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Yes, unfortunately this is not the optimal orientation and we tried to make it work as much as possible given the land constraints… 3 9490 |
