Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Mosaic Living 23Sep 26, 2011 8:31 am Heya Bill&Jaccki! I asked myself the same question... but the Land Sale lady said to make sure to get one ASAP so it could be included as part of the contract of sale. P.S... You're home is looking awesome! We're also thinking of building with Carlisle in the future too Re: Mosaic Living 25Sep 26, 2011 10:35 pm Oh well that makes sense. Personally, I'd go to a solicitor and not a Conveyancing agency. Most solicitors offices would have a conveyancing section within them and they're much more knowledgeable than an ordinary conveyancer. Re: Mosaic Living 28Jan 09, 2013 2:39 pm Hello guys, I have read all your post with much interest as I am contemplating purchasing a block of land in stage 9. Has anybody on this thread purchased in that stage? and what are your current thoughts of the estate given some of your past experiances have not been so good? Thank you Re: Mosaic Living 29Jun 13, 2013 5:33 pm Hi neighbours!! New to the forum. Merwan did you ended up purchasing a land in stage 9? Re: Mosaic Living 30Jun 18, 2013 6:52 pm Hey Guys! No word on the Piazza, totally forgot about it lol! We're waiting for the football oval to be completed so we can go out and kick the ball around and let the dog go for a run! Hopefully your blocks of land title earlier than we did! We were delayed probably 8 months... lucky we didnt sign with any builders early on. Re: Mosaic Living 31Jun 19, 2013 5:29 pm Get mingles!! We just popped a deposit for henley.. Hoping to move in this time next year. Re: Mosaic Living 32Aug 05, 2013 9:05 pm Oh well, no Piazza is no biggie... plenty of things to do around the house lol We should be picking up the keys to the house this Wed! We built with Carlisle Homes. Good luck with your build! It's going to be a fun journey Re: Mosaic Living 34Sep 17, 2013 8:24 am Hello everyone, A few months ago I purchased a block of land in stage 12. Just thought I'd introduce myself. From the looks of things you've all built your homes. I am still selecting a builder and floor plan. There is no rush because stage 12 won't be ready until late February. Re: Mosaic Living 36Sep 17, 2013 10:26 am Hi sueandes, Thanks for your reply I've looked at your blog and yes, your color selection seems gone well? How is your experience with Henley so far? Has there been a delay with your built? Hopefully things will go well with you! My land isn't even titled yet lol. They said dec/jan but when I contacted them last week they said it will be delayed till late feb! Sighhh I'm planning to build with carlisle homes but heard that they usually quote very high on site costs as lalor land has a lot if rocks so just wondering what your site costs were? Also was there any associated fees that I should take into my budget? Sorry for my too many questions but I'm a bit stressed already haha.. Sorry for my too many questions but I'm a bit stressed already haha.. hehe dw at the start i was reading this entire forum for answers. Henley's been ok so far. My partner is in the building/construction industry so its been a major help. Sales consultant was great and flexible. Colour consultant went smoothly. Our administrator, not sooo great... takes forever in getting back to us with answers and our contracts have had many mistakes. Our tender appointment took over 4 hours to fix little mistakes that my partner had picked up. We had a soil test done prior to the land purchase so we knew we have minimal rocks so our provisional site cost is 8k. We spent an extra 55k on top of the base price for extras and site costs. hopefully that helps =) we're signing our contract today!!! Re: Mosaic Living 38Sep 17, 2013 11:22 am Thanks so much! Its a great feeling to know that your house will be built soon i believe! Please keep us updated with pictures even I'm sure you guys will be dead busy lol! How did you organise soil test? I heard that the initial deposit (usually 1k or 1.5k) is for the builder themselves to perform soil test for us? I might as well do soil test ourselves? How much did it cost you and how do I organise that? Re: Mosaic Living 39Sep 17, 2013 11:28 am tamic Thanks so much! Its a great feeling to know that your house will be built soon i believe! Yeah the initial deposit does cover a soil test, but we heard that lalor had heaps of rocks too and before we purchase a land we wanted to get it done and if there were a lot of rocks we wouldn't have purchased it as it wouldn't be worth it for the high site costs. Im sorry cant remember how much it cost, my partner arranged it.. but we still had to do it again with Henley but it was worth it. I will keep you posted!! =) Re: Mosaic Living 40May 27, 2014 6:44 pm Hi guys, Hi There, We have just bought in Stage 11 in Mosaic Estate on Rotino Cres facing the park, just wanting to know if you have any advice or feedback you could give me before I go down choosing a builder track or anything to do with land, council requirements.
