I guess i should give an update .

We are well and trully into our build, 2 months on and bricking is complete and front render has been applied. Roofing to start this week!

Hopefully i can get in and complete soakwells after roofing is complete.

Very happy so far. roughly 3-4 months to go.

Wrexter we apologise in advance to your roof guys who will probably get barked at all day... our dog usually only barks at things out of the ordinary and pretty sure he will find people on the roof out of the ordinary, hopefully he doesn't bark for too long

Just a quick update.

We had a really smooth PCI-1 8/4. We signed off PCI-2 too as there were only a few minor defects.

Handover 14/4 and have been doing the painting for more than a week. Phew! Painting is not as easy as it seems, pretty boring and tedious job. Able to appreciate what painters charge for internal painting. Glad we finsihed all internal walls by 26/4 in time for floor boards on 27/4, sure felt good saving a few grand.

Moving in next Tue 3/5. Doing the final homerun stretch now... organizing fencing, landscape, antenna, phone/broadband relocation, foxtel relocation, bins, mail redirection, letterbox, change of address notification.

After moving in still got to clean up rental house, lights out, and return keys. A chapter closed, a new one begins. Aubin Grove, here we come.. ha ha, exciting time it is.

Tonsky, I thinks it's just you and me left now.

Shon, Luke and Peter are in. People tend to come on H1 less often once house is finished :p

I think I'm a testament to this!

I've got a new job and we have a couple of gorgeous kittens keeping us busy now, and once you get into your houses you may be more inclined to spend time exploring the physical house rather than talking about it online (or as the case may be, still unpacking boxes!)

Things we'd change:
higher garage roof!
put tiles in the laundry rather than vinyl (my bf's fault)
bigger bath
and a whole host of other stuff we couldn't afford to do because this is our first house, so they're all going on the list of things for the second house

So glad to have such a lovely bunch of neighbours though, wouldn't change that bit at all!

I know someone has asked the question... but whats teh process for doing the landscaping yourself? Did someone get an official answer from Terranovis?

It's pretty long winded! Basically you have to have a design not sure if it has to be professional or not? A list of plants etc all of this needs to be approved and then from what I gather, you will be refunded when it is complete. No guarantees with the refund though!

Hmm might still be worth it... to not have the labour component drained out would certainly give you a lot more plants

Just a little bit of heads up!

When i was at my block today, i noticed something really ******* going on.

I saw an asian guy in a white daewoo (1AHT-???) driving around slowly looking suspicious, doing laps, and behind him another asian guy was walking with dirty hands (looked like he had been handling bricks etc). I was suspecting maybe they were driving around loading up bricks in the car.

Hmm, i was close to calling the name and shame number but wasnt 100% sure. if anyone sees the same thing, call 1300 2 REWARD (1300 273 9 273), NAME and SHAME hotline.

Just before i left i saw the busted up white daewoo parked outside a house in build stage, trunk and doors open and no one around.

I have seen this car before when our place was being built. I just gave them the look of "I am watching you" and then they drove off. I did not see them take anything.
