Its supposed to start today but nothing on the website yet. Promotion may not change but prices are definitely supposed to rise. I've been told that changes won't be in place until Monday, and that it's a 2-3K rise depending on the house, but no changes to the promotions at this point. At least, that's what I've been told by someone at Carlisle. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 1990Apr 01, 2011 7:16 pm cuppyccake Reinsey We've upgraded the front door on our Monaco to 2340mm to match the internal doors. From memory it was around $840. There's a picture of the door frame sitting proudly in place on my blog which should give you a rough idea. Hi Reinsey, Was $840 for 1 door or 2 doors? Some entrance have 2 doors.. Cuppyccake, that was for a single 2340mm x 840mm door (PMAD 101) which sits between 2 sidelights. In my mind it looks fantastic, but we've only got a frame at this stage Building Carlisle Homes "Monaco" @ The Avenue at Casey What's happening?... Site scrape mid October, PCI 4th March and Handover scheduled 11th March, an excellent build with few issues. Great communication with both CLE and SS, always approachable and professional. Some frustrating issues but eventually rectified. Independent Inspection at Preplaster with 'K' from New Home Inspections required some rectification work - immediately taken care of and construction continued at the speed and organization Carlisle are known for. Overall Trades have been good with superb workmanship from Tiler and Painter. PCI 4th March, Independent Inspection - numerous minor defects but also a couple that would require more than an adjustment or touchup paint (refer my blog) Clearly no Handover 11th March......Labour Day long weekend......it is now 17th March and we meet with SS and CM who outline rectification work, assure us a team of tradesmen will commence tomorrow, our home is priority and all will be corrected. Next day informed Handover rescheduled 25th March Excellent, considering little work has been done since PCI 4th March; garage door is to be removed and with major brickwork reconstruction required....they must know what their doing? 22nd March - three days before scheduled Handover brickwork demolishing and reconstruction is finally commenced and completed! Two days to Handover - Brickcleaning, caulking, re-installation of garage door, painting, site clean, inside painting/cleaning etc.... plus a renderer who can't finish a straight line!! are still outstanding. This is a joke, when can our Independent Inspector return? - Handover cancelled. What is the problem? It would appear Carlisle do build a good home and run a good organization until rectification work and returning of trades in a timely manner is involved!! Perhaps they need to take a deep breath, stand back and spend more time on Quality Assurance (where were their Inspector's?) to avoid incompetence and frustating delays. Our home; Trades 'livelihood' and Carlisle's 'profit' is not a dress rehearsal, please finish and deliver as promised. Thankyou for reading my rant - if our home is completed and someone? from Carlisle Homes can spare the time for our Independent Inspector to return and afford us the courtesy of a relaxed 'New Home Inspection', we so desperately await..... we hope to Handover this Thursday/Friday. I shall be more than happy (as I would have four weeks ago) to followup this post with a glowing report on Carlisle Homes. PS - Anyone care to question the value of an Independent Inspection? As a followup on my rant earlier in the week...... we are ecstatic to report our successful HANDOVER Thursday 31st All rectification work was completed and beautifully presented with the quality workmanhsip we expected from Carlisle Homes. Special Thanks to our Site Supervisor, Customer Liason Executive and Construction Manager who went that extra mile to ensure an excellent standard. Even the last month due to rectification work and the slow, frustrating rescheduling of tradesmen they were at all times approachable and professional. Also, Kevin our Independent Inspector (New Home Inspections) for his expertise and advice during construction. We are currently in our 3rd week since we put our deposit down. At the end of the 2nd week we did our colour browsing on Saturday where we met a consultant for the first hour to go through the inclusions, the upgrades on the Montrose 32 and then we wondered around after that without the consultant to start filling out our selection on the forms, however my wife called spectra last week to book us into the colour browsing to get things moving. Does anyone know what week spectra should call us to come in to do the colour selection? I think on the Carlisle brochure, colour selection is done within the 4th week. I just want to ensure that we sign our tender in a timely manner before the 1st of June to receive the current first home owner’s grant (I think we are cutting it fine). Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 1996Apr 04, 2011 12:58 pm Congratulations on the successful handover Debra, enjoy the new home and the feeling of satisfaction from choosing what I reckon has to be one of the better project builders out there. Arnie, while it hasn't been that long since we were in that position I can't really recall the time between the browse and the selection but it wasn't very long for us. The tender appointments for us were then a while after the selection but that was also no big deal due to titling delays, the final contract signing was also delayed by the Christmas break. To all who may be interested, I've succumbed to the peer pressure and started a blog with our progress, shortly place some of our colour selection up there as well (blog url in the signature line) - could only get a facade picture of the 36 but that's close enough . Hi Arnie80, I think the due date for the FHOG is on the 30th of June, instead of the 1st. So there are around 3 more months to go. I think if you do the colour selection sometime this month, you should be able to get the contract signed before the 30th of June. We are also trying to hit the target.. Will be doing the colour selections in 2.5weeks time... ___________________ Building with Carlisle Homes, Montrose 36 in Point Cook http://www.pointcookfb.blogspot.com/ Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 2000Apr 05, 2011 9:34 am Hello fellow Carlislers! Just dropping in a note to say that we are half-way through our build now and so far the experience has been smooth-flowing. At week 11, bricklaying has been completed with the initial rendering of the facade also done. All cabinets in the kitchen, laundry, powder room, ensuite and bathroom were installed. Definitely pleased for choosing Carlisle. And sure glad that more and more Carlislers are joining our tribe. We also have our blogspot if you wish to check our progress.
