Site works have us a bit worried after hearing a figure of over $80 000. Hi Waterwheel, feel free to pick my brain as much as you like. I don't know much at the moment but I am sure I will gather a fair bit of information over the coming months. And yes Kerry-Ann is right, site works appear to be one of those things where cost can vary quite dramatically. So do your homework and you should (hopefully!) be able to get the site developed for a more affordable price. Re: Dan's Rammed Earth Home in the Bedfordale Hills, Perth W 38Sep 14, 2010 8:50 pm Dan-yool Due to my wives place of employment we are able to get Smeg products at a 40% discount so it will be interesting to see how that stacks up against cheaper brands at standard consumer prices? Dan.....Best friend.....Buddy......Pal.......CAN U PLEASE BE MY BEST FRIEND You lucky duck. We're going for the smeg freestanding oven but sure wont be getting 40% off K.A, we're allowed to put our oven in after handover but we're gonna get pricings on it anyway......even if its just for a laugh Welcome Waterwheel. Another one in the vicinity. My parents and brother designed their houses when they built for my niece (who is no longer with us ) and she was in a wheelchair. All the passages and doorways were really wide and they had a winch kind of thing in the bathroom. Dont know if you need that but their houses are very open and look great with the wider spaces. Unfortunately they built in Adelaide so I cant suggest builders for here. Good luck with it all Re: Dan's Rammed Earth Home in the Bedfordale Hills, Perth W 39Sep 14, 2010 8:57 pm thirsty Dan-yool Due to my wives place of employment we are able to get Smeg products at a 40% discount so it will be interesting to see how that stacks up against cheaper brands at standard consumer prices? The name was a bit of a giveaway wasn't it! We picked the only flat spot left, next to that strange little circular park. We were hoping (ha ha....) the siteworks would be less than on the long thin sloping one we wanted. It's looking lovely atm, all green and weedy. Got to get out with a mower when it dies down. Really looking forward to that........ Hi thirsty. We're going for a ride in shower, kind of a huge hobless thingy so he can just roll around the whole area in his shower chair. We're knocking a wall out and putting the loo in with it so he can be more independant and my back doesn't give out on me entirely. I'm going to start a thread about access anyway so I'll stop hijacking Dans thread. I'll put up the plans when I figure out how to. It's good to know someone else is going through all this first and is willing to warn us in advance of anything horrible! Fingers crossed for all of us. Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 4256 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds.
