It seems like people are really confused about the semi permeable driveway. Just think of what can water pass through to get to the soil and what it cant.
obviously concrete is not permeable and neither is exposed aggregate (also a concrete)
so if these are used, they need to be split up with gravel, grass or pavers as water can pass through these products. Pavers are sort of an inbetween, but because pavers are generally small and placed together, water passes through the joins and are considered semi-permeable.
But then I remember the guidelines saying you cant use a certain type of paver because it has a heritage style.
