C&T Rose - Update - Flooring info

Hi Mrs Rose - just caught up with this great thread - a bub and a house - how exciting.

Love your kitchen - design and colours. We had spotted gum in our last kitchen and it was BEAUTIFUL . We had it finished with Tung oil which was a natural matte look rather than polyurethene. The timber has beautiful tones and in no way throws pink. it will look perfect with your colours.

Also agree with SS fridge - will look great with white and stone.

I wonder what names you have in mind for a possible girl with Rose as surname - whatever will be gorgeous

We are building and expecting grandchild 3 and 4 ( to our 2 daughters) at same time as build due to be completed - very exciting.

Thanks Goodyear - Rose is actually my middle name, but its been used as a nickname by my friends - I'm undecided whether to continue the tradition of using it as a girl's middle name as so many of my friends have used it already!! I'll decide once bub gets here (as it could be a boy and then I won't have to make a decision!). This bub already has multiple nieces and nephews as my sister has 4 kids, my brother 3, on DH side, his brothers have 2 and 4 kids respectively! Christmas is going to be a full house! Sounds like your place will be full too! Thanks for the feedback re the spotted gum - it really is a beautiful timber and we can't wait to see how it looks! There was multiple trips to timber stores looking at QLD v NSW spotted gum and the different finishes - we've gone for commercial grade (normally used for shopping centres but should be ideal for young kids) water based finish on the QLD spotted gum.

Will definitely let everyone know when something finally happens with the bub... hopefully there won't be too much longer to wait

Thanks Mrs Rose - you will love the timber floor and is is very servicable with kids. If you decide to use your middle name it would be gorgeous - have heard some beautiful names with rose as middle - Amelia Rose etc
