My block in Renaissance rise also has a community infrastructure levy. I read up on it and there are two levies - the developer infrastructure levy is paid by the developer, and covers roads, drainage, "essential" family and children's facilities. The community infrastructure levy is paid on application for a building permit, and covers facilities like community centres and recreational facilities.
I wasn't told anything about this when purchasing the land.
Mine is under Whittlesea council.
