I am not sure about PD's penalty system but with our builder, we get penalized a certain % of our total building cost for every month it is delayed so we have ended up a big sum worth of penalties in our building contract. If PD is only charging $1500/3 months, that is actually not as bad as what we are paying... Also i realized that a few lot signage including ours have been knocked down. Anyone knows why? We really dont think they are down cuz of the strong wind. Hubby seems to think it means that the land has been settled but i dont believe so as i am pretty sure most of the others have also been settled and yet the sign is still up? Any idea anyone? We might have to erect the sign up again ourselves as the builder needs us to have a clear sign indicating the lot number for construction-dont want to be charged again for petty things like that... It would just be the wind. They don't actually stake them into the ground very deep. And there is security in the estate from 6pm - 6am, so it wouldn't be vandals/youths either. Ours fell down during a windy day, and they were fixed up the next time we saw them, so don't be too concerned. Sorry to hear about all your penalties guys. Im due for one too, but hopefully we will put it back on the builder due to poor communication. Ours is calculated on a % of the base price of the building. Some builders offer a guarantee so you dont get hit with penalties (kind of like an insurance) but Im sure your past that stage, as its usually offered during ur prelim contract. I would expect to wait approx 6 months from when the stage was released for titles, no matter what they say.
