Browse Forums Building A New House Re: New Family Home - Forest Park - Plantation Homes 21Dec 05, 2009 5:35 am We just bought the Doulton Q3. We go for our appointment this month. What do you guys recommend we outsource? From what I've read...we can save a lot outsourcing Driveway Floors Rendering I'm curious to see what the Plantation bag and paint job looks like. Re: New Family Home - Forest Park - Plantation Homes 22Dec 14, 2009 12:20 pm YAY! The land has finally settled and we are going in for our New Home Proposal this week! thecapz - We are outsourcing tiling and carpets. We are considering outsourcing the driveway and all concreting around the house including the porch and alfresco areas. I am not sure if you should outsource the rendering as that is one thing you don't wanna get wrong. The PH bag and paint is excellent compared to other builders but you still see the brickwall and rendering far out beats bag and paint IMO. Andrew. Re: New Family Home - Forest Park - Plantation Homes 23Feb 11, 2010 10:38 pm We are going with the Doulton Q2. We are definitely outsourcing: Driveway Render Air Con Floor Coverings Including in Contract: Alfresco concrete as part of the slab We are in an area that has a recycled water connection as well as the normal town water. Costs about $2K extra for the 2nd water connection and supplies the toilets and 2 external taps. But we still have to have a 5000 ltr water tank. $7K to just connect to our washing machine cold water tap... Not happy... ... ... An there have been at least 3 instances I have heard of in the area of the council pumping the recycled water through the town water connection and vice versa. Rita, have you had your dirt removed yet? I need some dirt for my block, building with Plantation Brisbane north as well. Maybe we could do some swapping? Re: New Family Home - Forest Park - Plantation Homes - SLAB! 33May 21, 2010 12:32 pm Hi Andrew, surprised you were told to remove the dirt. Ours was cut from side and fill on another and they still had about 1.5m high pile left then it disappeared one day. Looks like we will need more dirt though because stepdown from doors is too low. By when do you need to remove the dirt? Building with Hallmark modified Flair 201 / Ashton Settlement 6 Dec 09. Council Approval - 21 Jan 10. Start Date - 1 March 2010 Rain delayed.
