Louis Pasteur Vegie garden: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=27637&start=0 My Backyard Adventure Re: Porter Davis - Window Locks 12Nov 12, 2009 8:16 pm rodrocket bobes This is a quick and easy way of both saving money and not forking out on locks and can always be removed i have used this lil nifty way of cutting a piece of wood like u might find on a broom stick that you can buy from bunnings and cut it and lay it on the inside of the window frame so it doesnt allow the window to open further than you wish , this can also be used instead of locks so u wont be able to open unless u are inside or smash the glass .... just a lil tip ... a good tip but it does not stop the theif from flipping it out of the track with a peice of wire or coat hanger my brother used the system that you discribed & came home to find the dowel removed & sitting on the bedroom floor, outside the house was a wire coat hanger & they simply lifted the window out of the frame to get into his house with a lock the window can not be removed at all cheers rocket I plan to get some bits of wood to do something similar.
