From personal experience, what is the longest you can wait before they start building, as we are looking at building towards the end of next year, but want to sign the contracts early. Re: Henley Home - Build Later 2Nov 01, 2009 2:02 pm If you're in QLD...on the 'Appendum for First Home Owner Boost Scheme to claim the extra $14000 Boost for new Homes', Part A Contract to build a new home, one of the eligibility criteria is: - construction of the new home must have commenced within 26 weeks after the date of the contract. You must provide a certified copy of an original document which clearly shows the construction commencement date. So in short, you have 6 months from the date you sign your building contract to the date they start laying the foundation. I doubt it would be different for the new forms now that the boost has dropped, but it could be.
