Anyone built with Dixon Home, North Queensland?

Dixon are a national builder, with that, their plan range is suited more towards a national volume then individualized towards smaller localized homes upon my observation.

A good idea would be looking around at the estates where there are allot of builds happening, that should give you a good indication of the builders that clients are choosing for obvious reasons (quality of finish, floorplans, standard inclusions). For instance, North Shore - Grady Homes, Sanctum - Keir Constructions, - The Village - Ellis Developments.

I've also been looking around and have been impressed with some of the builders who tailor towards first home buyers, I like Ellis Developments and S&P as they seem to offer the small things as standards, ie built in study nooks with the desks included, walk-in pantries, shower niches, 40mm stone benchtops, visually great facades with innovative finishes etc. If you're looking for a builder its best to observe those whom are competitive in the market your looking too, I.E if I was looking for a larger home I'd consider a builder like Grady, if I was looking for a first home builder i'd consider Ellis Developments or S&P.

Dixon are great on a national level, but i'd be concerned about a builder whose trying to build in Townsville but based in Cairns, further to this because of the current market conditions you'll find that the builders are quite competitive, so if you have any fears its best to get a quote from another builder or check out other standards specifications if you're not happy with what you're currently being offered. I'm sure Dixon Cairns are a quality builder in their market, but I'm confident in some of the smaller builders, check out their Facebook pages and see what their clients are saying about them.
