Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Boutique Homes 3424Jul 22, 2020 11:58 am Mintee I just got back from visiting a couple of display homes; my gosh, did I have the most disgusting sales person I've ever had in my entire life at Boutique homes in Point Cook. Who practically didn't even want to talk to me without knowing my budget, If i was happy to get a 'base' legit home my budget is irrelevant; tells me that my site costs will be 35k, and I said mate you havent even seen my block they could come in at 20k and then i've got 10k more towards my budget. He kept telling me thats not how boutique work, all I wanted to know was is the height of the bench-top in X display home was the standard inclusion? If youre looking to go with boutique visit rockbank over point cook, don't want him getting any commission.... Thank F the lady at Rockbank was ALOT more nicer, willing to offer information of standard inclusions Would be interesting to know if this was the same sales consultant we had at Point Cook. Because he was an absolute gun, we were able to provide our budget and he built a house for us around that budget informing us of where to spend money and where not to. He new how to make our selected home better, what features we should upgrade and what not to, what we could easily do after handover and what we should do with boutique. He was the reason we built with Boutique although I understand sales consultants aren't as generous as him. Re: Boutique Homes 3425Aug 27, 2020 8:04 am Just looking to gauge current house construction costs around Melbourne. I am about to start building a new 30sq home. Been quoted $250-$300k base price + Site costs + $60-80k worth of usual needed upgrades (inc. 20-30k for raked ceiling to family + skillion facade) (appr. 11-12.5k per Squares) (2700mm ceilings, hybrid flooring, slightly better quality bathroom & kitchen fixtures, Artusi appliances, 5star heater+ Evap + Double glazed windows & doors, 3 coat paint, 1020 entry door, 40mm stone to kitchen, 20mm elsewhere, colourbond roof etc) (no driveway, landscaping though) Wondering what prices builders use now (Per Square) compared to what prices were before 25k homebuilder scheme was announced? Havig spoken with few friends who built a similar size & finish houses 2-3 years ago, it seemed overall prices have gone up by 10-15% at least! PS- I am going with my custom plan and all builders I asked to price do customs & are reasonably better than volume builders. Re: Boutique Homes 3426Feb 21, 2022 11:24 am Hi All, Apologies if this has been answered before! We were advised at PWC signing that we could change our laundry door from a sliding to a hinged door at HIA signing (as I would like to run my laundry bench to the wall). We had selected option 10 (Building Barcelona 27) laundry option and only shown 2 other options which had less cabinetry. We were told that we can change the door but not the joinery as this is a structural change. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm failing to understand why the joinery is a structural change! Thanks Hi there! Putting the feelers out there for those who have (or almost) built with Arli homes! Interested in your experiences who've built from their stock home designs… 0 79679 Hi all, We are considering Enigma 46 from Mojo Homes in Gables, NSW. Has anyone built with Mojo and any pointers and feedback. Also, if anyone has built similar design… 0 24724 I would think twice. I have signed up with Sienna to build a town house. My first question to them was, will there be a hold up on the build if all the town houses are… 1 12445 |
