We had our PCI 2 weeks ago, there was a bit to do but our SS said 2-3 weeks. They’ve done nothing since though so who knows. It’s frustrating being so close but still so far....

Mmm... expect that to blow out to 4-5 weeks. Always happens with M. We were told end of October for keys, now looking like 13 November (or so).

Just a couple of small items to be tended to and then handover can happen. Hopefully it will still happen by mid next week. Then we need cabinetry installed in study, carpet installed and some concreting done before move in at end of month

Yeah I remember 😩, I hope mine doesn’t... SS assured us it would be by next Wednesday, but still no word... will wait and see!

M promise us we will have keys next week – which had better happen as we have pushed our carpet install back twice and now need to get it installed week after next or we cannot get it done before Christmas!

Just a heads up to those who have not yet had PCI – M have changed their policies re-handover… Any defects identified at PCI must now be fixed before handover. This is why all handover timelines are blowing out way beyond what they used to. They are no longer allowed to address any of these items after you have moved in, during the three month review.

While it is great that they are fixing all the issues we found, it is hard when we were never advised of this timeframe earlier and have arranged settlement of our current house and moving schedules for end of this month. We would’ve thought two months after PCI will be plenty of time!

Anyway, that is my whinge for the day. After escalating my concerns to our SS’s supervisor who is absolutely lovely, he assures us we will have keys early next week.

Super frustrating with current house settlement and carpet install!

Fingers crossed for all to be fine as promised by SS, sounds like he is under pressure.
Interesting that M made that change??!! Will affect a LOT of builds, you'd think?

It is definitely going to affect all builds. It will delay all handovers - but if people know they can organise the settlement to suit.

Don't be upset about PCI issues being fixed before handover...

We're still waiting for some items to be fixed. And we're currently stuck at the warranty manager, with a service advisor who doesn't answer her phone, nor return emails

What I am not happy about is the lack of communication, updates re dates of handover etc. Also, when it takes 7 weeks and things still aren’t finished, it is pretty hard to do regular drive bys and see no one onsite 4 days out of 5 every week. That is what we are pi55ed about. Anyway, still hopeful for keys this week.

The issues we have weren't there at PCI, it was damaged caused during other repairs.

And yes the delays are frustrating, ours stagnated for weeks while the SS was on jury duty.

We also argued with them as most of the issues were after final inspection so they agreed to fix most of them. I guess maybe that's the reason they don't allow anymore.

2 weeks short of 2 years since we bought our land.... Handover is confirmed for Friday morning!! So glad to have the full week to get some things done before we move at end of next week.

Carpet, pendants, wallpaper all going in next week.
