After about 2 years of looking at display homes, about August 2017 we stumbled across the Coral Boston 38 at Newport Redcliffe. The floor plan was very close to what we were looking for and some of the changes we wanted to make to the floor plan were classed as standard changes so minimal cost increases.
For the next 3-4 months until early 2018 we went back and forth with tenders u til we had very close to what we wanted. We are doing a knock down rebuild in Brighton and had to wait until April for our tenants lease to expire before we could start. Steve the sales consultant we first met has been our contact right the way through and has been trustworthy, quick to reply to questions and very helpful.
I was very disappointed at some of the quality of sales people in some other companies. We walked out of houses that may have been suitable because of rude sales people he didn’t want to give you a straight answer on pricing.
We picked the follow selections;
- Brighton facade
- Downstairs guest suite with 2 way bathroom.
- Walkthrough laundry from garage to pantry closing in the walk in linen.
- Activity room upstairs in lieu of 5th bedroom.
- Extended garage 500mm wider and installed a drive through roller door.
- Extended alfresco area out about 2mt (same as display)
- High ceilings downstairs (2750 I think)
- Removed push out from old living room downstairs which makes the floor plan a straight line front to back.
- Tiles, electrical and colours selections completed mid June.
- Final variation for colours and contour/soil due this week.
Hoping to have a build start date before the end of July.
Retaining walls have nearly been finished and pool gets installed tomorrow.
It’s been a long 12 months getting ready for it but it really feels like it’s getting closer now.
