We asked in a variation to be sent with the contract for it to make sure it's flush against the wall It came back not flush, and we have only just now got a reason "this is not possible, Need a minimum of 10mm allowance for expansion of stone" Is this a new thing?? The display ( Avoca 23 ) has it sitting flush against the wall. Maybe ask if they can come down to 5mm and silicon the gap as it will expand and contract as necessary? we upgraded to the higher tiles in our tiling appointment so hopefully that will help. I was hoping silicone could fill the gap. We just don't want to be stuck with this awkward little gap that looks unfinished, it will annoy us so much thanks for the reply. Hey we have a similar bathroom layout we don't have a gap at all flush to the wall ours is a recent build as well! Looks like ours should be flush like yours I don’t understand why they couldn’t just tell there’s going to be a piece to cover the gap and it will look flush haha Thanks again! You are amazing Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10418Feb 06, 2018 4:38 pm That's cool I'll send you one soon with the stone but it doesn't have to have a gap. Don't get me wrong the cabinetry seems to have a gap but it's then hidden but he stone once installed. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10420Feb 06, 2018 4:41 pm Omg sorry for all the spelling mistakes so just to confirm as the last messages don't make sense lol you won't see a gap it will look exactly like your picture that you posted the stone will hide the gap in the cabinentry 😀 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 8590 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption.
