I have also selected black stone for the kitchen counter, can't wait to see it! Did your builder say anything about waiting 6 months before painting? I have a friend building with affordable living and they weren't interested in painting her house & said she shouldn't paint for 6 months!? Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 157Jan 19, 2018 6:56 pm It's highly recommended to wait as long as possible to ensure there is no moisture left in the bricks and/or plaster, as once you seal it, you trap anything remaining in there and can cause bubbling of the paint which is no good. My family are keen to do it but it makes me nervous with all the horror stories of paint peeling etc of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
