It only took 1 week to get from temp fence to a slab and they did a good job. On the Darbecca report they commented on a well prepared slab and there was only 2 minor issues that were sorted on site by the Concretor so money well spent. It is certainly looking better than the slab we got - your porch is also way bigger - our porch is only around 2700 - the other difference since our slab width is smaller compared to the study and theatre of Aeg230 - it is narrower - we decided to get a slightly bigger living/dining but council would only allow 28cm increase follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Building an Aegean230 with Mainvue. 231Dec 13, 2017 11:03 am pEast firsttime_homies1401 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks Henley for the early Xmas present. They wouldn’t let us build right on the boundary because we share a crossover. At least they didn’t make us frost any of our windows upstairs. Unfortunately with the bigger porch means a bigger deck I have to build. Hopefully you get your frame first thing in the new year. Re: Building an Aegean230 with Mainvue. 233Jan 09, 2018 4:58 pm firsttime_homies1401 Very nice. Good to see tradies on site, you must be thrilled. Frame should go up very quickly and you'll see the size of the house. Happy building. Re: Building an Aegean230 with Mainvue. 234Jan 10, 2018 8:17 pm Rachael13 firsttime_homies1401 Very nice. Thanks Rachael, It’s so different seeing walls instead of a slab. You really get a feel for the size of each room rather than lines on the slab. Yours were standard - weren't they? Re: Building an Aegean230 with Mainvue. 238Jan 11, 2018 7:05 am pEast That’s good progress - and even it looks big just like 430 Thanks pEast, I’m happy with the size of the house but the boss is still questioning why we didn’t get the 430 when we could afford it. Getting the 430 would have meant the backyard reducing in size from 8m to 5m. Higher site cost, more $$$ on furnishing, more cleaning........ How is your build going? Any update on when your framer is back from overseas? Have you contacted your SS for an update? Yours were standard - weren't they? Yep, all our windows are standard and increased slightly to match the higher ceiling. We were lucky we also don’t have to frost any windows. I like the look of your windows as you won’t have to spend to much on window furnishing and they are still in proportion to the dining and living area. Compared to price - u may have used that difference on a lot of upgrades to suit anyway. Yes - I'm also looking forward to see that entrance door cos we have the same door including Stay too follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Thanks for your reply.
