Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 01, 2006 10:14 am I'm looking at demolishing and building in the near future. Has anybody gone through this under the Whittlesea Council? How long did the permit process take? Do you need to demolish prior to getting the building permit? I've already asked two people at Whittlesea. One said yes, one said no.
Maybe they didn't understand my question. But I thought I'd check here first, before asking again. Thanx, David. Re: Demolishing permit + building permit 3Sep 07, 2006 2:57 pm Greetings
Check again lads, the rules have changed, but it may or may not effect yowhat you are trying to do. I am trying to find out somehwere which categorilty states the requirements now, a lot of the sites still have the old rules....... I no longer need a permit for a deck due to changes in legislation. Adrian B Re: Demolishing permit + building permit 4Sep 07, 2006 3:12 pm I have heard about this not needing a permit for certain developments such as decking. Can you point me in the right direction as to where I can research this further? Is this a federal or state law? No, not yet. It’s currently being assessed by our building surveyor 4 6568 You wont need a permit to put in non loading partition but you will need a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician 1 6827 I don’t think so as the floor area over 300 square meters then it is class 3…. 12 18343 |
